How would you wear a pear shaped diamond?

I have a pear shaped sapphire ring and I wear it with the point facing my fingernail too. But if I remember correctly I think DH said something about it being backwards, but maybe thats just the way he was looking at it. I think its just personal preference.

My friend has a pear shaped e ring that she wears with the point facing away from her nails... I guess it's personal preference but it's always bothered me a bit as I think it looks backwards... I think it should be pointed with the point towards the nail.

I never thought of it until I saw the woman who wore hers with the point pointing towards her hand rather than the tip of her finger. It just seemed so odd that I thought this would be the place to ask what others thought!
