Hey Jessy,

I'm just wondering if you plan on getting your hair and makeup done at the spa.

that's something i'm really stressing about for some reason so it would be nice to have someone's review on their services.

Thanks :)

Hi girls! Ive been so busy, you can imagine?! I leave on the 20th and in the middle of the craziness, I got my dress finally fitted, it should be ready Friday, I just had my "Girls night out party" on Friday (pictures to come), and Saturday will be my Bridal shower, oh and I leave Next Tuesday!!!! lol

Anway,

For those girls who are neverous about the Edenh, don't be. Elizabeth is great. She'll work to make whatever you want happen. And if she can't she'll tell you! (i.e wedding cake decor) Which I bought shells soap molds (yes, soap) from Michaels, melted Teal and Brown choclate and they Shells came out great. Only thing is, I have to carry it on! Who cares, they are going to look great on my white 3-tier cake!

Ruby-I tried out the spa (couples massage was great) when I went to the Edenh weeks ago, and I spoke to the salon people. They are all really nice. I told them what I wanted, showed them pics, and they are going to make it happen (I hope).

Now my makeup, well I just spent almost $300 in MAC and did my trial run for colors, and loved the products. I'm not a daily make-up wearer so at first I was in shock, but when it all came together, I loved it (enought to spend $300)!!

Anyway, I'm taking them the stuff I'm going to wear and they will apply it ( I hope) the way I want them to.

I'm very hopefull and excited as you can see, I can't expect perfection, but I can pray for a beautiful wedding day!

Let me know if you guys have anymore questions.

Hi Girls! Any idea what kind of music will be playing during your wedding ceremony or walk down the aisle? I really didn't want to have a stereo playing a CD. Anyone hiring a steel drum band? If you're playing a CD, what are you playing? Just trying to get ideas from what everyone else had planned. My wedding is on December 1, 2008 so I have some final details to work out.

Hi Everyone,

My fiance and I just confirmed our wedding date at EdenH!! We will be getting married on the beach March 19, 2009 at 4:00pm.

I think this site is so great, especially for people like me who have lots of questions!

I was wondering what wedding package you guys have chosen, and what did you do/are going to do for your reception/dinner after the wedding? The coordinator sent me price info on private dinners, but I am a bit reluctant to spend that much money for the dinner... I have 19 people booked at this time, and expect alot more to book at a later date. That would cost us a fortune!! Does anyone know of a bit cheaper option for the dinner?

Also, for people who have had their pics done by the resort photographer, what did you think of him?

Thank you everyone!! :)

I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of ideas for a reception/gathering for the guests after the wedding. We didn't want to go with a private gathering as it would be expensive (we have 64 booked so far!!). So, if you have any ideas I would love to hear them.
Have you decided what you were going to do for your reception yet?? I am in a similar situation, and would love to hear alternate ideas!!

What wedding package did you choose?

I have 29 people booked and when I asked Elizabeth (the EdenH WC) she told me that I may not be able to have a reception in an A La Cart restaurant because we are over 25 people (she said that she would have to check with the Food and Beverage Manager). I asked about having the reception at the Buffet and she told me that this is a possibility and they would reserve an area just for us... best part, dinner would be free. Elizabeth seemed a little concerned for us because it wasn't a private dinner, but we don't care... our reception went from 29 people to 200 people (lol). What's the point in spending all this money on a beautiful dress, hair, makeup, etc. if no one sees you?

We chose the Traditional Wedding Package and are haveing our reception at the buffet, so the whole thing will cost us only $995. We will probably get a few extras, but that's completely up to us.

Hello ladies, live from the edenh.

I met with elizabeth last night and showed her all my pics and ideas. She has a vision! Im really happy and excited it is all going to turn out wonderful. I brought a tear to her eye when I told her how all the Edenh Brides, including myself are happy she´s around.

She told me she´d never knew of anyone so detailed beside herself. I think she meant anal! lol

The cinque terre is going to look fabulous with all my decor and the Plaza is going to be the envy of everyone here. Yay! A few days to go, in the meantime Im relaxing until the rest of my 10 bags arrive between Thursday and Friday and of course the rest of my 92 guest list arrive. lol Yay. Ill keep you posted. Hugs!!!!!

I laughed when I read your post because it sounds like I wrote it! I expect to have around 30 people attend, and Elizabeth told me all of the EXACT same things as you, including checking with the Food and Beverage Manager. Anyways, I too asked her about having the reception at the buffet and she said she would see what she could do. So is that what you ultimately chose to do? I have decided that I do not want to pay $25-$65 per person for dinner. So I will either try to get into an a le carte for free, or go to the buffet. I would be perfectly happy at the buffet, and I dont mind serving myself!!

I had initially chose the deluxe wedding package, but I think I may switch to the traditional package. I am going to have to buy extra cake either way. Also, I asked how much it cost for extra chairs at the wedding ceremony, and am waiting for a response.

What time are you getting married?
