I was in a wedding on Memorial Day here at home in NJ. It was no big deal. We just went to the shore later. No biggie have fun!! Screw trying to make everyone else happy. I've decided I'm getting married in April '09 no matter what.

The last few weddings we have been invited to have been around the holidays. I like it because we make a vacation out of it, flights are expensive so we can't stay as long as we like too.

 

IMO, there are other holidays through out the year so giving up one weekend for your wedding shouldn't be too much to ask for.
