Never been to either, but DH and I sooo want to go to Thailand. Bali looks awesome too and a friend had an amazing trip there. Thailand has so much to offer, from busy urban areas to secluded islands. We are in love with Thai food and (used to live in a place called "Thai Town" ) so it would be Thailand for us!

I vote for Bali...so exotic. Well so is Thailand, what a hard decision. I would still go with Bali.

I have been to Thailand but not Bali yet. I plan to go someday before I leave Japan. I LOVE Thailand and would go back in a minute!

I spent two weeks in Thailand a couple of years ago - it was the most amazing time ever!

Kanchanaburi hotels and resorts - River Kwai Jungle Rafts - Pictures and Facilities

 

Absolutely mind boggling. The hotel is built on a series of rafts floating on the river - no power, but they have gas lamps at night. The whole structure is covered in orchids, there are hammocks everywhere. It is just amazing.

I would choose Bali in a heartbeat, but safety is somewhat of a concern as far as terrorism and fun stuff like that. The State Department has travel advisories out for most of that Indonesian area.

 

I do not think I would let it stop me though.

I was thinking Bali but after seeing that place in Thailand, maybe I should reconsider.....I would love to ride an elephant!

Bali. Hands down. It's on my top 3 for Honeymoon Destinations!
