I would love to keep this going! It has been pretty dead for the past few months. I just moved my date from Dec. 28th to March 26th, so I am excited! I've been in contact with Carolina for about 3 months now and have done a tone of research, so I'm happy to answer any questions if I can!

I hired HDC photography for Dec. 28th and had to contact them to see if they can move the date. So far, he has been really responsive to my emails and I have read a lot of great things about that company. My experience so far has been pretty good. I don't think I am going to hire a DJ. I was just planning on making a playlist and hooking mu iPod up to it. I have also heard that it is a good idea to make CDs as a back up. I guess they have a technician that will work it. But if a DJ is only $100 more or something, I would just go with that. You probably have to buy a night pass for them. GP is actually really cheap compared to other resorts that I have looked at. Let me know what you decide!

Hi!

I'm Janine, and getting married at Grand Palladium in a few months. I've actually been to the resort (last June) and have met Carolina and also spent many weeks reading all the posts on this thread, so feel free to ask any questions. Congratulations to the newly engaged!

Hello all,

I got married at Grand Palladium in April 2012.  Just wanted to reassure anyone getting married or thinking of getting married here that it is absolutely amazing.

a few posts before this is a post by our photographers, Caribbean Emotions with a slide show of our photos (so you can see what it looks like).  The gazebo is beautiful and since it sits up high, so you get a great breeze from the ocean, to keep you cool :)

I had my hair and make up done at the spa, as did my sister and mother.  I normally never wear makeup and wasn't sure how it would turn out, but the ladies at the spa did a fabulous job! my hair and make up was gorgeous.  Plus it held up through the heat and the impending rain.  They did such a good job, I had them do my hair and makeup for my TTD pics.  Needless to say, despite the heat and humidity my hair and makeup held up great! it was well worth the price.

We had a catholic wedding, and the priest was super nice and easy to work with.

For our reception, we planned to have the dinner on the beach.  They actually set it up on a wooden deck outside the steakhouse, surrounded by palm trees. it's beautiful.  The other bonus is that instead of having to choose one appetizer, entree and dessert for all you guests, its a bbq buffet! lobster, chicken, pork, beef and seafood kabobs, a bunch of sides, salads and desserts.  So delicious!  Unfortunately, it started to rain so the reception had to be moved inside.  Carolina still made everything look great though!  And she even had one of the trains come pick up all my guests at reception and take us to the restaurant!

The cake was delicious and my flowers were absolutely beautiful.

Carolina was truly amazing!! she goes out of her way to make sure everything is perfect for you.  I would go to the Palladium again just for her!

For photography, I highly recommend Caribbean Emotions.  Pascal did a fabulous job.  We have had nothing but complements on the pictures, and honestly, you can't beat the price.

Hope this helps :)

Hi, congratulations, you must be very excited! I'll be right behind you 3 weeks after. :) What kind of ceremony & reception are you planning on having? As far as I've read on here and upon meeting Carolina last summer I don't think we have anything to worry about. Feel free to ask any questions if you're unclear about something.
