Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

I would be interested in seeing some of the pics you received from Carolina. I am having a gazebo wedding with a private reception at either L'Arrecife or La Uva and have no idea what to do about centerpieces and decorations. Also, does anyone have pics from their receptions at either of these places and know what the differences are???

Thanks

Christine

Thanks for all those questions. Even though they might seem like minor details I am also wondering the same.

I have received some info from Carolina such as menu, sash colors, flowers. If any of you need such info I could post it here, or try to. :)

@CaribbeanLover

Did you see any beach receptions (not beach party) while you were there? That is what I am doing for additional charge but I havent seen anyone else here do it. Let me know please if you have and how it looked.

Its not in a restaurant. It is actually on the beach, the whole nine yards as far as a regular dinner reception. I will have music there as well so we can dance. I found out about it through one bride but I dont think it was this forum. There was actually one picture of a set up on the beach (beautiful) I'll try to find it. I asked Carolina about it and that's how I choose it. Of course it is possible only if it does not rain. On top of the package that I chose I will also be paying $60 per person and you must have 20 guests or more.

Hi!!

Married life has been great, as soon as we got back, we found a great deal for a house (we were living in an apartment) so we bought it!!! we moved in August, so it's been busy. Then we added to our family and bought a dog lmao!  But been recovering a lot with my health issues (been getting endometriosis cyst's on my ovaries) but still enjoying being a newlywed. I tell you something, I miss planning the wedding and looking forward to going to Palladium. Ah well next year hopefully... in the mean time just planning a mother daughter vacation to Cuba (it's so cheap!!)

Ok so for your questions. Yes I brought a CD, I actually made a few. the first was for while the guest were being sitted and waiting for me. Then I made 1 for the girls (bridesmaid and maid of honor) to walk down. Then I had another cd for my song to walk down with my father. There is someone there to play it. Just explain it to Carolina and she will take care of it. Oh I also had a cd for signing the papers, another for the sand ceremony and then another for us to walk back down. We had our first dance as well at the gazebo and this is when they served the champgne. Then (as we were losing light quickly) just family came to the beach and took fam photos. while the rest of the guest headed to dinner. Then he came back with us, took group photo's and got us cutting the cake, then he left (I had 3 hour package)which was perfect and honestly didn't need anymore. We did the 45 mins before I got married and he left before me to get shots of DH and his best man waiting for me at the gazebo.

Hope this helps. Ask away ladies anytime!! makes me remember the good old days.

I received some info from Carolina re sash colours but not pictures of them. Did you get pictures? She send a few flower pictures too. What info did you get on menus? That info would be nice to know!

I am trying very hard to not stress about things until we get down there, cause I am sure things will work out....but it's hard for me to not do that!

I actually do have some questions! For your ceremony, did you have CDs? What do you need music for...like do you need a song for before the ceremony, the processional, and recessional? Would someone play the CDs? Am I missing anything? Then do they do the champagne toast right by gazebo? If I remember right, you had the beach party with a DJ right? Did he speak English? Did you have an MC? What did you do for your first dances? Did you guys do speeches?

Sorry for the questions, but these little things keep popping into my mind! MY FI keeps telling me that everything will work out, but I can still ask right!

Thanks!!!

Is this the same menu for our included reception (the one that is semi-private)? If so, do we just choose 1 from each section or do the guests get to choose when the get there?

Also, anyone know cake flavor options?

Thanks in advance!

The menu is the same whether you do a private reception or a semi-reception. All guests have to eat the same thing (unless someone has dietary restrictions, they can make an exception) and you pick one option from each section (appetizer, dinner, dessert, etc) to serve to everyone.

Good questions about the cake flavours...I'd like to know that too!

How are you choosing your menu.  I would like to make my decision before I get there so it's one less thing to think about.  Are you going with what you like or what you think your group will like.  I think it's so hard to choose without tasting the food ahead of time.

I agree choosing the menu is so hard. I think I'm going with the t-bone as the main course I'm thinking that it's basic so most people will like it. Personally I would want the fish but I know everyone doesn't like fish , and most likely the ceasar salad, and fruit since we will have cake.. I'm also dying to know the cake flavors, I've only seen one girl write that she had a strawberry shortcake. anyone doing the cocktail hour?
