Married or going to be married at Grand Palladium Punta Cana?

Recommended Posts

Just popping in to say that I too had a fantastic wedding! We got married on the beach on the 28th of April and can't think of anything really worth complaining about. Everything went smooth and my guests had a blast - we are very happy. If there is a question that has not yet been answered I'd be happy to answer and I will post pics ASAP. We used the onsite photographer and are satisfied with the pics chosen. I did my own hair so can't comment of the hair stylist but the couples massage was out of this world! Feels good to be a Mrs! Ciao!

Nice Pic! When you get a chance, please let us know how your wedding went and what you would and wouldn't do again.

Thanks!

What type of reception did you have? (beach, private, regualar, ect.)

What entree did you choose and would you recommend it? I read in one of these hundred pages that a bride liked the beef medalions.

rgonzalez, we had the beef medalions and they were delicious. We also went with the caesar salad which everyone raved about. It was very authentic. i wish though we hadn't even picked a dessert. We originally were going to cut the cake at the gazebo after the ceremony, but because it had rained that day they were worried about transporting it and the humidity, so we did it at the restaurant after dinner, but everyone was full, so we really didn't get to enjoy it!

Tracy - you received your wedding certificate already?! I really thought it would have taken longer to receive given the "Dominican time pace". That's great news because I'm starting a new job in a couple of weeks and would like to take care of the paperwork with my name change and such.

Sungoddes,

What are you paying now for the photographer?!

I paid for 3 hours for the ceremony (which I would suggest, I only recommend a half hour before ceremony pics for you ,I got way to many for the hour we had and not enough of the hubby, so I suggest 30 mins for him instead of the full hour for yourself and your girls) then an hour for the ceremony, and hour for after pictures. which would include your first dance, cake cutting.. and if you want to add your father daughter dance and son mother (you may get a few less after ceremony pics) but it's whatever is important to you to get on picture (honestly the day went so fast and I'm so happy to have 300 pictures to remind me of the raw moments we felt that day)

With the TTD our total package was $935 and it was worth every single penny!!!!

Then maybe it'd be cheaper just to get him for 30 mins (which was plenty enough time) and you can do that a la cart a suppose to the package.

I paid him for an hour and we only used 45 mins.. then again we also got a lot of the same pics!

I say go for the steak, I went with the chicken and pasta, and I wouldn't recommend it.. it was mixed together as suppose to a chicken breast with pasta on the side (which I thought it was going to be)

DEH, the link to the pictures aren't working, post again.., so excited to see them... I'm also wondering if your the one I met in the pool... and we started talking but got in trouble by the instructor to stop talking lol!!!!

If so I have tons of pics of us in the pool doing the work outs lol!!!

Yes I was very pleasantly surprised that we already got our marriage certificate, especially since she said it'd take 6-8 weeks. We got it a day before our month anniversary LOL!!

I'm sure you'll get it in time for your new job (Congrats btw!!! what is the new job)

I called the Dominican Consulate and they are going to charge me $40 to translate the certificate into english, that I've got to go to my city hall and they will stamp it or whatever they do to assure it's in their system and all legal. (The certificate is legal here in Canada but I'm sure they still have to do something for our province to be aware of the marriage)

BTW!!!! Courtney... how come you spent more money on your hair at the spa then I did put we had the same hair style almost?

I thought this would be funny to post. I was on my way to get married as Courtney just got married... One of my fav pic the photgrapher got!!! (Mike loves this one too lol)

Thanks for fixing my link! I'd love to see your dress! Mine was a Maggie Soterro.

My Photographer brought the sparklers with her from Canada. (You're not supposed to because they're "technically" illegal to bring on a plane!)
