Ah-good to know I am not alone. I'll do the same get a family member to read a script I found on the net.

Pm me your e-mail address, I'll send you the link I have for the menus. Do you know if your having the reception at La Uva or the buffet? I have both.

Hey Girls, just tell Carolina that you need a table for the sand ceremony set-up at the front of the aisle. You do the legal ceremony, she gives you the opportunity to say your own vows if you want, then the kiss and the sand ceremony. B/c the judge doesn't speak english and Carolina's english isn't very good, your best bet is to employ a family member/friend. I had my brother do our reading...funny thing is, I never explained to anyone how to set it up before the ceremony....so I sortof had to set it up for us right then and there (not romantic)...and it rained that day, so the sand from the beach was wet. Soooo it didn't pour out very smoothly.....funny looking back, but I would recommend somone you trust can set it up for you BEFORE the ceremony. So they gave my brother the mic and then we did the sand ceremony and then sand cermony stuff is moved out of the way so you can you sign the legal paper work on the same table.

Does anyone know if the resort has centerpieces you can rent and if so what they look like and how much to rent them??

After being a BM at my brother's wedding I've decided I want centerpieces, but if the resort has nice ones I don't want to have to go through the hassle of bringing them with me

They do have flower centerpieces. They are $60US. I don't have a picture though so I still don't know if it's worth it.

I thought of bring a few vases for the centerpiece filled with sand, and shells on top,as favour's I am giving metal lantern's so I'll get carolina to light them up for dinner. Head table I'll use the BM's flowers. (They are going to get drunk and leave them somewhere anyway!)

I agree with you! For $60, I can do some sort of shells and candles motif that will certainly be cheaper!

Hi there, We are getting married at the GP Palace on Feb 20th, 2010. It was tough to decide on a resort or a date, so it was great to hear feedback from all the brides here. Caroline has been great emailing back to confirm a date (though I haven't asked any more questions yet, one step at a time) unlike other resorts (I'm talking to you, Paradisus! :-p)

Hi! Congrats. I had the same problem looking for resort's. My main thing was reply's. I didn't want to get stuck with a resort that would never e-mail me with some answer's. Or worse, when you ask a question, you get a reply and your more confused then when you ask the question in the first place. I orginaly went with Jamaica and this was the case. Carolina has been amazing, very excited to meet her.

BeachBum,
I can get 5 centerpieces with sands and shells and still pay half the cost of 1 flower centerpiece, the FI and I decided to go first class to allow us with extra luggage weight,so I'll be ok weight wise. If your at the resort the same time, I have no problem lending you anything I bring
