Hi Sandra~

Did you just go with the reception that came with the package or did you pay for private reception?

If it was with the package did u feel like u were on display? Was it kinda private?

TIA!!

Hi Manney,

I didn't do a private reception, I had the same concerns that you did but once I talked to Erika everything was clear. They put us at the Torote restaurant, which I liked because of the views and the open terrace. It's the only restaurant facing the pool and ocean the one of the best menus besides the Italian. But the Italian is in the main square and away from the water. Anyway, they put us in the private terrace and we never felt we were sharing the space with anyone else. It was perfect! I recommended.

We are actually getting married at the RIU Santa Fe on January 21, 2010. I'm not sure why people would tell you that nobody gets married in January? That's just silly if you ask me. I suggest you viewing another thread on the "RIU Santa Fe Brides - Post here!"

You'll get tons of information from previous brides who got married there as well as reviews.

Hope this helps!

I am a newbie, and want to see if anyone has any opinions and/or information about Riu Santa Fe, the newest resort in Cabo, right near Riu Palace. I am considering getting married there early next year but am a little nervous since the hotel is so new and the WC has not done any weddings there yet for me to judge whether she is any good.

I was just in Cabo over MLK holiday weekend, but we did not see anybody getting married. The WC we talked to said that nobody gets married in Jan. there. The wedding season apparently starts in Feb. Is there a reason why people don't get married in Jan. there? I checked the average weather for both Jan. and Feb. and they appear to be about the same. I would like to get married the Saturday of the Presiden't Day holiday weekend next year in February, but it falls on Valentine's Day. I don't have anything against getting married on Valentine's Day other than the fact that there will be 50 other couples getting married on that day, which I would like to avoid if possible, which is why I am considering January. Is there any specific reason why people don't get married in January in Cabo that I don't know about?

Any information or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
