PV Brides/LC Brides - where would you trash the dress?

Recommended Posts

We're def. going to trash the dress... but the question is where. We're staying at dreams and I know their beach is private, however I'm not sure I want all the dreams guests, and our wedding guests, watching our TTD photoshoot. Especially our wedding guests. I could get over the random people, but I'm pretty sure all my fam and friends would make me nervous and self concious.

We're getting married at Las Caletas.... should we go back there? Or is there a more remote beach in PV that any one knows about?

I'm also a Las Caletas bride who is staying at Dreams. I know what you mean about family and friends watching the ttd shoot. To minimize this, we are going to do the shoot at sunrise. I heard the lighting is best in the morning and late day versus the middle of the day. I'm sure there will be a few people around but not that many will be around so early in the morning. The weird thing for us is that my brother is doing the shoot. He has professional cameras and does retail photography. He's never shot people before. However, a photographer is not in our budget other than the basic package at Las Caletas so I'd rather my brother do the shoot than not at all.

I never considered leaving Dreams but now that you brought the idea up I'm definatly interested in what the other options may be.

Natalie is right - the best light is in the morning. We did ours at sunrise the day after the wedding. It was so hard getting up early after having a few hours of sleep - but worth it. None of our guests were awake and barely anyone from the resort was around. It was the best time for a TTD for sure!!!

I would give it a shot at Dreams on the private beach. Do they have any fountains? lol I loved playing in the fountains... in my gown lol

Quimixto!! That's where I would do a TTD in PV.

You must take a boat there. We went there a few years ago on a tour in search of a waterfall. We had to walk through 3 rivers to get to the waterfall (raging ones at that but that's a story for another time...lol). You can also rides horses in for a small fee.

Anyhoo, you would have the beach, rivers, waterfall if you're up for the trek, horses if you want, and the jungle which I haven't seen anyone do yet. Usually people do the standard beach/pool scene. Plus there are palapas and a beach bar to throw in the mix.

BTW Majahuitas is also beautiful. Vallarta Adventures does a day tour there so Nicole & Co. would probably be helpful in allowing you to do a TTD there. There is a private hotel on the beach so I'm not sure about the restrictions, plus with the tour I don't know how much privacy you would have, but I thought I'd throw it out there because it is gorgeous:
