Riu Palace Riviera Maya in 2009

Hi, my name is Steve and my fiancee is Kristin and as of right now were planning on getting married at the Riu Palace Riviera Maya in April or May 2009. Nothing is written in stone as of yet because we are still trying to get information on the resort and their wedding packages but we have recently been a bit scared at the same time while reading some of the peoples messages about how the resort didn't seem to care to much and really didn't try to make the wedding a special day for the bride and groom which is really what we don't want to hear when were looking for a resort to get married at. Anyways, I'm sure we will be posting many questions and feel free to e-mail me with any information you think we would find useful.

Hi Steve and welcome! We were in the Mayan in November and we looked at the Riu as one of our options. A great resort - the only downside for us was that the wedding gazebo is right next to the pool with little privacy and it is quite noisy.. other than that (and depending on what you want) it was gorgeous!

All were shot at RIU Riviera Maya except Melanie & matt which was next dooe at the RIU Mexico.

 

I think the gazebo is relatively private given the fact that it is an All Inclusive. Hopefully some shots in these videos will give you a better sense of the place. Happy planning.

Welcome to the forum, it is a great place to pick up advice. The Riu's have a great reputation in the area as many of our clients have chosen to stay at one of their 6 locations in the Playacar Hotel Zone when they had their wedding with us in Playa. Good luck and take care.

I am getting married at the RIU Palace Riviera Maya...and am super excited about it. I think it looks beautiful and LOVE the all-inclusive aspect of it. I think it'll be perfect
