Wow $150 an hour is a steal! That is awesome!

 

We are having mariachi's for 1 hour. We plan to have our guests seated for dinner, and the mariachi will be playing and will follow just the bridal party from the beach to the restaurant and when the guests hear them playing, they will know we are coming. They will probably play the remainder of their hour during dinner.

 

Just thinking about it makes me excited!

Wow, that's a really good price. fwiw, for my wedding in November, they quoted me $500/hr. for the whole band, so $150 would be a great deal.

 

I didn't particularly love them, but for $150, you can't go wrong.

(Funny thing, my friends all shared photos after the wedding, and many took photos of the band, and there they are, talking on the cell phones...)

hmm perhaps the price being $150 is because it's june and not high wedding time. a lot of quotes we've gotten for other vendors had been a bit lower than we expected just because we are getting married in hot-as-hell august instead of spring or fall when there tends to be more weddings going on there...

I prefer a trio, I think the whole band can be a bit much. I do think this is still a good price.

but i agree with you angela, i think the whole band is kind of too much for me. regardless, for the trio $150/hour is a great price.

Oh, yes, for the trio they quoted $350/hr. so you're still getting a great price. We had them for the ceremony and cocktail hour, so I think 2 hours total, which was perfect.
