What time was your beach ceremony?

Recommended Posts

We are hoping for 5pm. And if the judge is a little late, if we go the civil route, (seeing that is common in the DR b/c there is only 1) I figured we would still have enough time for great sunset pictures.

Also, I think that most people should be off the beach trying to prepare or head for dinner. So less uninvited guests/witnesses. lol And since our reception is shortly after, perfect timing for dinner I suppose!

Yea, I'm thinking of changing our ceremony time to 5pm, so we have enough time for pictures afterwards. The only thing I'm concerned about it that there is another wedding at 4pm, so if we have ours right after, it's going to feel like a wedding factory if you know what I mean. I'm just worried that if we have our ceremony at 5:30 or 6pm, we won't have enough time for pictures (which are really important to me). I checked, and sunset is around 7pm in May.

Or I could do it before the other wedding at 3pm. I don't know what to do!

I got engaged in December and started planning for a June wedding. The problem with planning a DW in 6 months is that we are left with very few dates and times SO our ceremony is to be at 3PM..YUCK. It will be SO hot. I emailed Sandra and Landy and they said right now the time stands at 3PM but when we get there they will see what they can dohuh.gif? I'm 99% sure we will be standing under the hot sun saying I DO at 3PM but I'm not worried about. It will be the best day of our lives. If you have to stay with the 2PM ceremony it will be fine. Your day will still be great. After the ceremony and pics your guests can go have drinks at the bar and freshen up before dinner. You and your hubby can then meet the guests at the bar and hang out till dinner/reception time.

We plan on having a cocktail hour and a Carribean trio for the guests right after the ceremony while we take pics. After pics and cocktail hour we will either all meet up in the lobby for a drink or go freshen up and then have dinner at 6 or so.

We just returned from our wedding at Dreams Tulum. We had a 2 o'clock wedding and it was HOT! If I could change anything about that day it would have been the time. We tried to take group pictures as quick as possible after the ceremony but people we leaving to get drinks, looking for shade. It became very frustrating. Another suggestion would be to have the wedding at 2 oclock the ceremony itself was not that long. Join everyone for the cocktails right after and get pictures done later in the day when its not so hot!

That's a great idea to join them for cocktails and go out later for pics!!! Perfect!

I can't wait to see pics of your wedding and read your review! Hope everything went well.
