Thanks Loeloe. That was my own photographer that i hired and brought from the USA. I'm not too sure if they have changed their policy on bringing outside vedors for photography because Aldo Tovar is the Riu's photographer. They kind of got upset with me but my photographer had a room for 3 days at the resort therefore IMO she was a guest and could do whatever she wanted.

Good deal! I thought I had it made, my sisters a hairdresser, my aunts a professional make up artist and one of my good friends is a photographthewave.gifer. All was working out so well in my head, but now my friend is engaged and getting married the week after me so can't come. I've been photographer obsessed ever since!

I have now heard from Erica my WC. She has suggested that maybe if we have our dinner at the Botana Restaurant then we can have the sound system there, and also the Botana has a Bar open until 10.00 pm. It is so hard to decide without seeing the setup. We wanted to party maybe outside and do our first dance. Also i wanted to party way past 10pm. Any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

We had our welcome dinner at the Botana restaurant and it was very nice. My MIL, FIL and uncle brought their guitars and instruments and played music for us after the dinner. It was so relaxing and we got to watch the sunset. La Botana is along the water, so you get a nice ocean breeze and the best view to watch the sunset!!

How many guests do you have? We had 55 and they just sectioned off a part of the restaurant for us, which i was OK with and it didn't bother me. Another thing to consider is that it's a buffet at La Botana but I don't know if that's an issue for you or not.

We had our wedding dinner at the air conditioned Brazilian restaurant; Nayarit. It was great because that restaurant is very difficult to get reservations at (because it's smaller and very popular) and the a/c was very much needed the day of our 109 degree wedding lol! It is plated service as well at the Nayarit and it is smaller therefore the whole restaurant was strictly my guests. No one else was there. I got to play dinner music over the sound system, not that anyone noticed but me!

Another thing to consider is at the Nayrit we only had an hour and a half because we had to get out by 8:30 for the next seating. At la Botana you would not be as rushed because it is buffet.

let me know if I can help with any other input or suggestions.
