Welcome! I myself am torn btw. the Riu resorts in cancun and the Dreams resort in Cancun. At least you've made a decision and set a date! Congrats!

Thanks for all of the "welcomes"! I was torn between all of the places to choose from too, but had a friend who was married at an RIU Palace property and loved it...I just decided to go with word of mouth...otherwise it seemed soooo overwhelming...I wish I discovered this site sooner...I know it will help a lot in my future planning! Everyone is so nice and has soo much to share! I love it!

That's definately one of the hardest parts about a DW; if it was a local wedding, you could just scope out the site. With a DW, you have to trust what others say. At least you have your friends experience to fall back on! Did she give you any handy tips about the RIU Palace?
