Where are you registering and why?

Recommended Posts

We haven't registered anywhere yet. It's sort of weird because we've lived together for like 5 years and don't really need all the usual stuff. What we really want (and I know this sounds horrible) is money because we're saving to buy a house int he next year or two (hopefully home prices in LA will come down by then).

Where are you guys registering? Why did you pick those places?

Even better post the link to your registery so we can see what cool stuff you want (only of you want to of course!).

I haven't registered either. Cain and I have both lived on our own before we met and we live together now, when we moved intogether we gave so much stuff away because we had two of everything. So like you if someone wants to get us anything,, cash would be nice.. LOL... The only things we "want" is to do crown molding, or paint that sort of stuff..

I haven't officially registered yet but I'd like to do Macy's (since it's natiowide), Crate and Barrel/Pier One, and then a travel registry. As most of you we have already combined two households so the focus is upgrading what we have.

Other stores I like: Target, Cost Plus World Market (registryhuh.gif), Bloomingdales, ZGallerie

TammyM - What about registering with likle Home Depot or something! I have no idea if it's possible but it might be a good way to get your crown molding!

Jenetta - how does the travel registry work? I'm heard some stuff about it but I'm not exactly clear on how it works...

I think we are leaning towards BB&B, and maybe Target (I do LOVE target!)

We had the same registry issues bc we've lived together for so long. In fact FI kept saying we should just not register anywhere. I booted that idea bc even if we don't register people will still get us gifts and then it would just be a bunch of stuff we don't want.

So far we have registered at PAWS which is an animal rescue in Washington. People can just make online donations in our name. We decided this weekend to register at REI (if someone wants to get us sea kayaks or boarding equiptment fine with me!) We are also going to register at Crate and Barrel for the usual dishes and stuff.

Our registries are still up on our wedding website (link below) in case you are reallllllllly bored, but maybe you could register somewhere non traditional like Amazon. Then you can pick out things you really want! (We registered for luggage, tools, and bathrobes there)

My favorite registry was Crate and Barrel, just cause I love their stuff so much.

BB&B is good because you can get cash back. Or so I hear...I haven't tried it.

Oh Kash -- the one thing I have heard about Target is that it's a PITA to keep up your registry there because they change their stock so much. Things are always "unavailable"...just what I've heard....
