Welcome Dinner/Cocktails at Sheraton?

Recommended Posts

Hello Brides! I would love to do a welcome dinner or cocktails and appetizers at the Sheraton. Does anyone have experience with this? I know a Hilton bride on this forum is having a bonfire with taco bar does the Sheraton offer anything comprable to this? We are having our guests stay here but aren't doing the reception here so I don't know anything about the Sheraton's restaurant options. Thanks!

I looked into having my welcome reception there....basically you would be working off of a banquet menu similar to what you would see as appetizers for a reception....this option was too expensive for us..I wanted to spend the money in other places. If you pm me with your email address, I'd be happy to send you the app. menu and prices that I have ...they will be a little outdated..I was married in June 07. We looked into doing the welcome reception at the Tequilla Bar or Pithyasis (sp?).

We ended up hosting the welcome reception in our room..we had a 2 bedroom timeshare suite and I rented a couple of chaffing dishes from my wedding coordinator..we bought all the stuff at Costco and made chicken and shrimp tacos, salsa and guac...it saved us a lot of $$ but was a lot of work. We were able to offer more food and drink and therefore have the party go later in our room than we would've hosted if we did it somewhere else at the resort.

The Sheraton will also let you have a bon fire...I think it was $500 for set-up and I think you could arrange for a bartender, but I don't remember anything about food...I think it included stuff for smores...sorry I don't remember all those details.
