Getting Married at the Moon Palace

Hi! I am a MP bride too - and I hate to be the bearer of bad news but on the website Palace Resorts - Welcome to the Official Site it states "no outside vendors allowed" I personally don't know if there are exceptions to the rules but I would call them or email them to know for sure - there is a contact number and email on the website!

I have finalized my wedding plans with the Moon Palace. I am using an outside decorator but they were referred to me by the Moon Palace. The company is decorations theme partys from cancun mexico. I chose to have an outdoor reception on the Bugambilia terrace. The decorating company is setting up a "Miami Lounge" theme with day beds and couches surrounding the terrace. I hired a DJ through the MP and rented the audio equipment for speeches. Just when I thought everything was planned and ready to go....my wedding coordinator slipped in the fact that the reception had to be over by 10pm! That didn't go over well with me so after sending a very direct email outlining that I'd be inclined to take my 60 guests and switch resorts, they have agreed on 11pm (I am still fighting for midnight). I'll be posting pics once we return for those of you getting married after April 3rd, 2008.

How long is the MP giving you for the reception, if they told you it had to be over by 10? What time will it start? Is the decorating company's prices reasonable?

Can you help me with suggestions on how you negotiated your lounge event... I would like to do an inside reception and need a different look but was hoping I could get some advice from you.
