Pre-Travel Information to Guests

Has anyone given out pre-travel letters or other information and how did you do it? I planned on giving the OOT bags to the guests that are not staying at the resort before I leave for the DW.

All of our guests are staying at the same resort as us so in regards to OOT bags we are handing ours out at the resort.

We are doing a pre travel brochure and plan to mail it out about a month before we leave.  We are going to include things such as what to pack, information about our destination, wedding events and timeline, and other information that we feel might be necessary to include.  If you search on here you will find tons of examples.

I don't expect a large party, but I plan on sending a newsletter since they will primarily be staying just the weekend.  I'm sending one after the save the date, but before the invites, then another about a month before the wedding.

I've been sending out newsletters every few months because it helps to keep me excited too.  I only send it to the people who have confirmed and those we are pretty sure will be coming.  But I will be also sending out the pre wedding one with a packing list and everything about a month before we leave and it will include all the information I gather as soon as I complete working with the resort staff starting 3 months away in January.

I have been in a planning funk so I am hoping to get inspired again soon.

I've done a bunch of searching.  I haven't seen any examples of brochures that people have handed out to guests.  Do you have a template that you're following?  I've seen several templates for 'boarding passes'.  We're not doing OOT bags (we're taking our guests on a catamaran tour instead), so I think handing out brochures a month before is a great idea.

A great way to let your guests know of information and updates is through your wedding website! There are many companies online that offer them for free. We include a wedding website in all of our planning packages.

I love the template!  Thanks for including a picture of that.  It's also a great way to give our guests an itinerary.  We did make a website, that we've been updating, but I don't think our whole group is checking.  I think doing both is a great way to get the message out!
