The new Paradisus Playa del Carmen (La Perla and La Esmeralda)

Just curious if anyone has looked into the new Paradisus resorts being built in Playa del Carmen?  Looks like they are scheduled to open in Nov 2011.

I was looking into the Paradisus in Punta Cana but when I ran across there new resorts I was floored.  They look amazing!  Any 2012-2013 brides look into weddings here?  I would assume the packages would be similar to PPC.

Hi Kerri, My travel agent just emailed me today about this resort. She is going down for the grand opening at the end of the month and I will have more details then. I was so excited about the location and the fact that's its new (might be able to get some good pricing). I'd be happy to share the info with you. I will also do a site visit sometime in Jan-Feb to see it for myself. I'm not sure if you already booked, let me know!

Hi!  If any of you are interested, the new resort Paradisus la Perla  is officially open and is amazing!  I have my honeymoon booked there in april 2012.  My travel manager is great and can find super deals fot you and your guests!!!!!!  If you are interested, let me know!!!!

I'm going in January to check it out. They offer the same "Love at First site" package that the other Paradisus resorts do. It's tailored for engaged couples looking for a wedding destination. They offer 3 days at a reduced rate, with a tour of all the wedding facilities. If we book our wedding, the cost of the January trip will be deducted from our wedding cost. 

I'll will say that so far the Wedding department has not been very professional. It took multiple calls and emails to finally get the information I was looking for (their website only lists the Dominican Republic prices.) They are nice, but don't seem very organized. Hopefully I will get a better impression in person.

I am deciding between the new Paradisus and Azul Sensatori for a 2013 wedding. My FI and I area going to look at both sites this june. So far Paradisus has been very hard to coordinate with so hopefully after things settle down with the opening they get the kinks worked out. Let me know if anyone finds out any other information aside from what the site provides! 

Please let us know what you find out on the site inspection and visit!!!!!  Oh and pictures...lots of pictures!

Still looking at this resort for a possible wedding May/June.  I just noticed their prices have reduced a bit which is helpful.  Looking at staying on the La Perla side.  Anyone know if guests can stay at either side and still attend the wedding?   Are the wedding package prices the same as you see for Paradisus Punta Cana and Palma Real?
