July 2012 Brides

Even though we have about 15 months to go, I thought I would start a thread for any July 2012 brides.  I hope I didn't miss it if someone already started one.

We are getting married July 22, 2012 at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  I can't wait!!!!

Anyone else getting married in July 2012?

I am not July but Congrats! I am not too sure if there is a July thread but you definitely are not the only one.

I may be a July 2012 Bride, so i'm just stopping by to say Congrats and Happy Planning! 

YAY!! July 2012 Bride here!! Montego Bay, Jamaica still decideing exactly where my wedding will be but we will most likely be staying at one of the Iberostar resorts!! I am so excited as I am sure everyone else is!!

Hi everyone!! We are getting married July 28th,2012 at the riu caribe cancun mexico! We are sending out save the dates this week!

I know we have a long way to go (it seems like forever away) but I just wanted to see if there are any crazy planners like me.  Anyone else already book and put down payments on their Hotel? Photographer?  Order flowers? Send out Save the dates?  We are also already working on a bunch of DIY projects for the out of town bags.  My friends and family think I am crazy, but I think it will be way better to get everything done now.  That way a month or two before the big day all I have to do is relax... Or am I just insane? lol

Yay for July brides!

I haven't been called a crazy planner yet, but I am sure it will be coming. 

I am like you, I'd like to get as much done now and relax down the home stretch.  I could be living in fantasy land on that though.  Can you post a picture of your save the dates, I'd love to see them?  I am sending ours out this week too; well on Saturday.  They were my first DIY project.  We want to give all of our guests as much time to save and plan as possible.  We have the wedding confirmed at the resort, and I am hoping to be signing the contract with our travel agent today.  It has been a long process getting that done.  That is all I have done so far.  The photographer is next on my list.  I'd like to check off the bigger stuff and lock up my vendors.  I'll probably also contact a couple of natural touch florists that I found.

I'll start a roll call list, but anyone please feel free to copy, paste and update it anytime along the way...

I see your getting married in Jamaica, So my photographer will be of no help to you.  But I did order real touch flowers already, and I have had a wonderful experience so far!  I ordered from wedideas.com, and they are wonderful.  I designed both my and bridesmaids bouquets.  I am getting 20 white calla lillys for my bouquet with white ribbon and a pearl seam.  Each of my bridesmaids will have 6 white calla lilys with white ribbon and a pearl seam.  And their prices are great!  I placed my order last month and I will not get my approval photos until Aug.  So if you are getting real touch def. plan ahead for those! : )

You are not insane at all! I feel like its great that we start early because our date will be here before we all know it!! I have not been able to send out save the dates yet because I know my wedding will be in Montego Bay I am just not sure of the venue yet  But trust me if I knew I would have mailed mine out already too!! LOL

I am visiting Jamaica this Memorial Day week-end to confirm which venue and resort I am going to book with. I am so excited and looking forward to this! So as soon as we get back I will send out my STD's. I have already booked a DJ and I am 99% set on a photographer (I will be meeting the photographer during my site visit to confirm). This website has given me tons of ideas for DIY projects. I am going to make the program petal fans and the passport invitations. I am trying to keep things simple but this site has so many wonderful ideas its hard to keep things simple LOL I have an accordion binder full of great ideas! I am right now working on a travel agent! So I have not booked my accommodations yet but plan too once I get back from my site trip:)

Love your save the dates Jamie!  They turned out great!  I contemplated doing a post card, but went with the boarding passes.  They were not bad to put together, and I am really happy with how they turned out.  I'll try to take a picture to share.

I love wedideas.com's stuff.  They are my first choice.  Their prices seem very reasonable compared to other vendors, and especially compared to real flowers.  I found a bouquet on there that I absolutely love.  It is orchids, calla lillies and plumeria in tropical colors.  I am glad to hear they are good to work with.  I figure I'll be in touch with them soon, so that should be plenty of time to get everything done.  I need to firm up the wedding party numbers before I can actually order anything. 

It sounds like we are all on the ball so far.  Hopefully planning this far ahead doesn't cause me to go too overboard with stuff.  There are just so many fabulous ideas on here.
