Who is the Best Photographer in the Cancun/Riviera Maya Area? PLEASE HELP!

 Hi,

I am having a very difficult time deciding on a photographer for my upcoming wedding in May and need to make a decision very soon before they all get booked.  Have any of you had amazing photographers at your wedding?  If yes, can you private message me links to the photos they took at your wedding?

We are looking into Rachel or Jonathan at La Luna, Lori at Sweet Life Photography (used to be called Moments that Matter), Sasha Gluck. We were also looking into Del Sol but all but one of their photographers is already booked.  Have any of your worked with Juan Jose at Del Sol?

Has anyone had good experiences with bringing a photographer from the US to Mexico?

Do you have any recommendations?  Photography is the MOST important item of our wedding and we really want to have wonderful photos so any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated!! J

I've worked with all the del Sol photographer & Rachel from La Luna...all fabulous!!!   I recommend hiring locally because they will know the area better, and possibly be more experienced with beach weddings.  Also, my experience working with out of town photographers has been okay, but I've never had anyone bring an assistant, which, I think is essential for capturing all the special moments.

Del Sol is banned from our resort and we just found out after deciding on booking Rachel from La Luna that she is banned too! We are so bummed and now have no idea who to book because all of our backups have already been booked.  Do you have any other recommendations?

As a matter of fact I just did a trial yesterday and the b2b told me that she has hired Fer Juaristi. She is extremley happy with her choice and I cant wait to work w/ him! He is a vendor here on BDW.  www.ferjuaristi.com, good luck!!

I have not had a shoot with him yet, but I booked Adrian Herrera of Victor Herrera Photography for my July wedding.  His work looks amazing, and they have been wonderful to communicate with so far!

This site is a great resource, look at the reviews. Look at their work, find what you like, and look at your budget.

I just returned from my wedding in Tulum that was on February 26th.  My photographer was Fer Juaristi and he was amazing.  Photojournalistic pictures (I think I will receive most of the pictures this week and can send them).  But he was the honestly the best decision I made regarding our wedding considering we will have our pictures for a lifetime.  I posted a separate review on him on this vednor section this week, so definitely check that out as well.  You will be so happy if you hire him!

Why has your resort banned some photograhers? 

We used Citlalli of ClaudiaPhoto and loved her and her team! Our pictures were very artistic and natural, which we loved! I'm not one for all the posed, typical wedding shots!
