HELP!!! Carnival Dream: May 2011 - St.Thomas or Cozumel Wedding???

I have shorten my choices to two Carnival Dream cruises...one goes to Eastern and one goes to Western Caribbean...If i choose Eastern, I'd have my wedding at St.Thomas...if Western, then Cozumel. I want a nice beach wedding...

What would you recommend Which option is more affordable

I've been to both Cozumel and St.Thomas, and have yet to find a more gorgeous beach than Maegan's Bay in St.Thomas. It is stunning. Here's a link to it and congrats!

Marriage requirements are much easier in St. Thomas!

Edited to add: Just noticed you are in Canada so I'm not sure if the US is easier than Mexico?

St. Thomas has prettier beaches and more options I think with Carnival or booking through a wedding planner there. Good luck:)

I'm having a cruise wedding myself Nov 2011 and am getting married in St. Thomas! St. Thomas, in my opinion, is the best choice. We are having the ceremony in a Temple on the Island, having pictures take on Maegan's Bay and Drake's Seat, and are using one of the private restaurants for the reception.

Hey mishrn, did you already get flights for Nov 2011? Is it available yet?

Something to think about- Cozumel is a docked port and, from what I can tell, St. Thomas can be docked or tendered. Personally, I wouldn't want to risk getting married in a tender port, since those are much more likely to be skipped if the weather is bad. I would call Carnival and ask if they know which it will be.
