Outer/ Inner Env.

Did you guys do an outer and inner envelope. This is the first I have heard of this and since I am paying a calligrapher and this would double the price I am leaning towards no.

Am I crazy or do a lot of people leave this out these days?

We left the inner envelope out - I don't even think people even noticed

I've heard and seen inner and outer envelopes, but for traditional weddings. I did passport invites so I didn't bother with the extra envelope. What a pain!

No inner envelopes for us we also saved on the extra $$

I left it out. I don't think anyone noticed or cared. It saves money and postage because of the weight.

I didn't do it either, I didn't even think to ask for it. My only regret (and it's really minor), was that the single people we invited, we had the envelopes addressed to Mr. Jim Smith and Guest, and apparently that's not proper etiquette for the outer envelopes. Oh well, they're already sent out!

If you're having a casual wedding, feel free to skip the 2nd envelope!

We skipped the outer envelope too, it would have meant doubling the cost of postage to have it.

Good call! No one will even notice.
