Hair dilema??

Recommended Posts

I am on Carnival Sensation out of Port Canaveral to Nassau Bahamas. We are getting married on the beach at Sunrise Beach Club. Has anyone used a hair stylist in Nassau and would reccomend themhuh.gif

Also, has anyone used the on-ship stylist and what was your opinion of themhuh.gif Any help with this dilema would be greatly appreciated.

Priscilla :)

I too am wondering about the quality of the on-ship hair stylists. I will be on Princess Cruises' Ruby Princess, departing from Ft. Lauderdale, FL on January 9th. I was leaning towards having my hair done on the ship rather than trying to find something local. I'd be curious to hear the reviews. :)

I'm getting married on the Carnival Sensation cruise too! We sail April 8, 2010 from Port Canaveral and I am getting married in Nassau on April 9. I was thinking about having my hair done in the ship's spa, but I would love to hear from brides who have done this to determine if I can trust the stylists on board.

I am having the same dilemma! We're getting married in April 2010 on St. Thomas and since we're planning a morning wedding I need to to be able to get my hair and makeup done as early as possible so that we can make it to the courthouse and to the ceremony location on time... I have talked to my WC and she states that she'll pick us up but we need to be ready because the beach we're getting married on doesn't have facilities to change, etc. in and the beaches that do aren't comfortable. So, if anyone knows if the stylists on board the ship are 1) available early enough in the morning to get me out the door on time and 2) do a great job I could use the info! OR is there really enough time to go to the courthouse and get my hair done at an outside facility and still make it to my own wedding on time? Thanks everyone!

I guess nobody's able to speak to the stylists on the ship? sad.gif I was really hoping to get some feedback. I'm told that the spa doesn't take hair appointments in advance, so we have to book as soon as we board the ship which is kinf of nerve wracking in itself! IF anyone has any experience in having their hair done on the ship- we'd love to know!

I've given up on having my hair done on the cruise salon since they don't allow you to book your appointment until you get on the ship, also they don't open until 8 am, so that won't work for our morning wedding. I guess it depends on when your wedding is, but I don't think you'll have a problem with an early appointment and maybe doing a trial run the day before. I found info about the hair salon on the Carnival blogs: Cruise Ship Reviews, Tips, Forums & Planning You can get some hair opinions on the stylist on there.

I guess that at this point I am planning on getting my hair done by a stylist at the spa on board. I plan on booking my appointments when I get on. One for the formal night, where I can do a trial run, and then the morning of, as early as they will allow.

I am also a morning bride, and my aunt who works for Carnival said that there shouldn't be too much of an issue having a girl come in earlier than opening to accomadate a bride.

Hope that helps!
