So I've been trying to search for pictures of everyones will you be my bridesmaid? cards and I just can't find any, and I know there are some. It won't search it because will, you, be, my are all to short and too many posts including them. So, it will only search bridesmaid, and there are sooooo many posts that aren't relate to what I want. If you girls can find any posts w/ pics of people will you be my bridesmaid cards or have pics of your own that would just be AMAZING!

I wasn't sure if you wanted to buy or make the cards. I made mine -- because I had bought earrings for the BMs to wear the day of that I wanted to incorporate into the ask. Here are some pictures:

(the center of the big flowers are pearl earrings).

They were fairly inexpensive to make -- from memory:

pack of 10 cards -- $5

silver paint pen -- $2

Freshwater Pearl Earrings -- $5/pair * 7 = $35

fake flowers $5 for the bundle

black center dots $3

glue $3

Silver ribbon -- $1

Total: $57 or about $8/card.

I also had tons of fake flowers left over so I put them in the beachbucket that I used to ask my flowergirl.

Hope that helps!

Hi,

I did a special box for each of my Bridesmaids. It was shoe box size and the lid had their name in lettering. As you lift off the lid there was a sheet of tissue paper with the words "will you be my bridesmaid?" and then they tear through the tissue paper there were the folowing items:

a "how to be a bridesmaid" guidebook

a mounted card with all the wedding details, days times etc

A DVD of the hilarious film "confetti" which doubled as the greeting card as I wrote the special message inside the sleeve (I thought everytime they watch it they'll think of being a bridesmaid whereas cards get lost over time)

A downloaded french phrasebook from single-serving.com

A little tape measure and pencil to write down their measurements

An invite to a "bridesmaid's bonding weekend" in London three weeks later so they could all meet

and finally their invite to the engagement party.

I went round saying I needed their help to make some wedding decisions and each one of them took the mick out of me for having a shoebox full of wedding stuff already! I then gave them a stack of engagement invites to give out but not their's and then handed them the box and said, "and your's is in there". Their faces when they took the lid off were wonderful - they all cried, it was a lovely moment.

They cost about £10 each (about $20), cheap boxes from ikea, tape measures and pencils were the free ones from Ikea, I made the stationery using paper and card I had already bought for scrapbooking. The books cost £3.99 ($cool.gif each and the DVDs were £5 ($10) - the only real expense. If I hadn't had the book and DVD it would've been pennies.

I remember taking some photos, it you're interested I'll look them out and post them up,

Hannah x

iron ons from online Wedding Favors: Bridesmaid Rhinestone Iron On ($3.99 a piece). I also got a maid of honor one too.

And then sent them each with a card to ask them to be my bridesmaids. I am going to make one for myself that says bride, and we are going to wear them on the day of while we get married.

Sorry if I'm a bit late posting, but I did up a custom card for one of my bridesmaids.

I found a cute poem online (google wedding poems) and pasted it into Word, then found a cool picture of a Japanese fairy (my bm is into all things Japanese) and pasted that into Word.

Then I colour printed it all, pasted it together and gave it to her.

And she said yes! Woo hoo (and phew).

I just sent the "Will you be my Bridesmaid" cards to my girls:) I decided to go with the simple design - found cartoon versions of the girls (it took me around 10 hours to find the pictures of girls that look just like them) and "put" the dresses on them that I want them to wear on the BIG day. Here are some pictures:
