NOW Jade Riviera Cancun
Hi!
My husband and I were married at the Now Sapphire Riviera on February 26, 2011. We had booked this hotel when it was still Paradisus. They changed owners in the middle of us planning which was actually a blessing in disguise, as they made changes to the hotel for the better.
My main problem with the hotel was the lack of communication with the hotel. They would take weeks to answer my emails, but I tried not to freak out since I heard that this was normal. Our minds were put to rest once we arrived at the hotel and we were greeted by the wedding coordinator Daniela. Daniela was great, once we settled in she met with us for over 2 hours going over every little detail. We were able to add and take away things for the wedding, she helped us plan our welcome party and rehearsal dinner and group excursions for our guests. And to make apologize for the lack of communication she had us upgraded to a huge suite.
The wedding went better then I could of expected. It rained in the morning but turned out to be a beautiful day! There was another wedding going on that day, but we did not see them.
I did have my hair done in the spa along with my nails touched up. My hair came out pretty good, the nails not so much I probably could of done a better job myself. Beware it is very windy on the beach so choose a hairstyle thats going to hold!
We chose the divine package for our wedding which included photography and a dj for 2 hours, however we decided to go with outside vendors for both. Which truly was the best decision.
We used Jonathan from La Luna which is a sister company of Del Sol for our photographer. The communication with La Luna/ Del SOl was much better then the hotel!
Jonathan and his assistant were great to work with. Complete professionals with a great eye. He captured every emotion from our the day. We also used Sol from Del SOl for our TTD shoot. My pictures look like they're straight out of a magazine and we had so much fun working with Sol! I've gotten nothing but compliments on both. The whole Del SOl/ La Luna family are awesome! I highly recommend them!

We did substitute the photographer included in our package to be used for our rehearsal dinner. We had a huge issue with him, as he seemed to have lost half of the photos from the night and hope that we wouldn't notice. He eventually did find them, but the whole situation was completely unprofessional, and the photos weren't that good.
For the DJ we used Dj Temo from Doremixx. We had a light up dance floor, which was a little expensive but worth it. Doremixx and Temo met with us a few days before the wedding and went over every detail with us. Dj Temo spoke English perfectly and was very professional. He kept the party flowing smoothly. Everyone was on the dance floor to the very end of the party. We couldn't even get people to sit down to eat!
Other then the resort photographer, we really had no complaints about the resort. All 50 of our guests are still raving about what a wonderful time they had! The entire staff is so friendly and Daniela and Sandra are pros! SO ladies you are in good hands!
Good luck to all the future brides!!
