Iberostart Tucan, is an amazing resort with fantasic people who work there.

I only wrote food as a con because for me it was good, but i am not a picky eater. For some of the other guest they were not to happy about it. But I didnt go to mexico for the food, i want for the perfect wedding and that is what i got.

Gabriela and her team are the best. When i first emailed her I would get a response but with in the week. Now i know it was because she was so busy. When it came closer to my wedding she was on top of everything. Never a 'No' but when they didnt have something i wanted she would sugguest something similar.  All my request were taken care of with no problems.  Reception was always very helpful.

My husband and I paid for the wedding ourselves so we were on a tight budget. we did get the bigger package which we felt was worth it.  The Presidential Suite and the massages were a great plus! You dont have to tip but we did, I just wish we had more money to tip because everyone did a fantasic job.

The resort itself is not huge like other resorts but there is walking you must do. One of the many pros of the resort is the location, the resort is located inside of Playacar which is a gated community itself. Meaning you can leave the resort and walk around to the local plaza which has some great shopping and you can take a 5 min cab ride to playa del carmen for big shopping and partying.

The Beach is clean and beautiful.. when we went scouting for a wedding resort playacar had the best beach. always clean and the water super blue and green.

The beach bedding location at the resort is at the end of the walk way. Yes there are other guest from the resort watching the wedding but the staff does there best to move them away from the ceremony so they do not get in your pictures.
