Pros: Reasonable price, great value, fast turn around, fun, great communication, easy to work with

My sister and I had made a trip to Cancun back in January 2010 and stayed at the Gran Melia hotel. While we were there we met the 2 resort photographers (Lupe Arguello and Agustin Bocci of Take It Foto), www.fototakeit.com ) who are a couple from Argentina, graduated from art school and had been in Mexico for a few months working as resort photographers at the Gran Melia. We had them do a mini photo shoot as gifts for our parents and we loved their work!

I contacted Lupe to see if they were available to shoot our wedding in May 2010 at the Barcelo Maya Palace in Riviera Maya and booked them as soon as they said yes! Communication and planning with them via email prior to the wedding was easy. All emails were responded to within a day and they speak and write in English very well. We paid for them to stay at the resorts for 2 nights (day before the wedding and night of the wedding) and also paid for their transportation from Cancun to the resort.

I was so glad they arrived the day before the wedding. Lupe and Agustin did a great job scouting out all the perfect locations to take photos around the resort the day before the wedding, which was great and made things go seamlessly on our wedding day.

As we had scheduled via email in advance, the photographers arrived in our rooms around 1:30 to take photos of us getting ready. It was really nice to have a team of 2 photographers (one male and one female) since one worked with the girls and one with the guys before the ceremony. Lupe stayed with us and took photos of us on the way to the ceremony, which was nice- love the photos of us driving over to the gazebo on the golf cart. Agustin went with the guys to the gazebo early and took photos of the setup and guests.

The photos they took during the ceremony were amazing. They were sure to catch all the perfect moments and the beautiful ocean in the background. They were there to shoot the champagne toast after the ceremony, took group photos, had our private couples shoot and took pictures throughout the reception. All in all they were there taking photos non-stop from 1:30-10:30pm that day. They were great to work with, very professional and had great ideas for photos. Everything turned out beautifully. We received more than 300 photos (all digital since we didn’t want prints) with our package.

The package didn’t cover any photo retouching, but that was fine by me. The next afternoon, we met with them and reviewed the slideshow DVD that was set to some nice Spanish music. I got a copy of the DVD with the photos on it and paid the photographers in cash. They made duplicate DVDs of both the slideshow and photos (in both high and low resolution) and they dropped those off at the Palace Front desk that night for us.

I am so happy we chose them- they were cheaper than the resort photographer, the package included more photos for the price, and the photos were better quality than those I have seen from the resort photographer.  Would definitely recommend them and use them again!!
