Hi girls! I had to write a review because this forum helped me so much in so many of my decisions and my wedding was AMAZING because of it. People still cant get over it! I got married Saturday February 26, 2011. We had 85 guests and we stayed at the Majestic Elegance. But we had our ceremony and reception at the jellyfish restaurant. I will break it down into sections

Majestic Elegance A

The hotel is amazing! The lobby is unbelievable- which is one of the reasons we picked it. We also liked that it was smaller then some of the other hotels and that we were able to walk everywhere and see our guests everyday. The rooms are also absolutely beautiful! My guests couldnt get over how nice the rooms were. I was a little hesitant because some of the bad reviews but all of my guests were blown away by the hotel. And dont worry- No ONe got sick. You might have to go to the bathroom a little more- but thats because you are in a different country!! They also organized my rehearsal dinner which was AMAZING. Sandra ( the wedding coordinator) helped organize everything for me. We did at the Sea & See. She had a whole section of the restaurant blocked off- everyone else was on the opposite side so it was very private. The setup was beautiful- she had flower pedals and candles on the table and we brought down pictures. We were even able to make up our own menu. They also had a sound system so people could make speeches. It was better than I ever expected. The only negative we had with the hotel was that some of the rooms werent ready on time but they completely fixed everything and even gave everyone who had a problem a free spa. Even when we did breakfast the next day after the wedding, they let us reserve a section in the flavours (buffet) restaurant. I would totally stay at the majestic elegance again.

Jellyfish Restaurant A++++++

If you are thinking about having your wedding here, DO IT. It was seriously unbelievable and Mayte was just awesome. If you have been working with her and you are nervous because she is late with emails, etc- Do not even worry for a second. She had every email and picture I ever sent her. I went there the Tuesday before and I promise thats all the time you need. She will take care of everything. We had a lot of people so we did the ceremony and reception on the beach and the cocktail hour in the restaurant. Everything looked AMAZING- better than I could ever even envision it. She had the ceremony set up beautifully just the way I showed her. For the reception, I had huge tents/canopies covering the tables which were awesome because they blocked out the wind more than the restaurant and we had a huge dance floor on the beach surrounded by pillows, lounge chairs, and lights. She had welcome cocktails for when everyone first walked in. The cocktail hour was set up in the restaurant with high tables and lounge chairs and floating candles. It was just unbelievable. Mayte did all my flowers, bouquets, etc. She even had my bouquets sent to my hotel in the morning because I was taking pictures there first. She did my cake which looked just like my picture I sent her and the food is FANTASTIC. It was so nice not to have hotel food and the lobster is one of the best I ever had. She also had big, beautiful buses pick up the guests at the hotel. They were a little late but that was seriously the ONLY flaw of the whole wedding. 

DJ MANNIA A++++++++

AMAZING! Is al I can say. They made the wedding. We met with them the day before, gave them our playlist. They had all the songs we sent to them and they seriously had everyone dancing the whole night. No one literally sat down except for speeches and dinner. They were even the MC which was great. We paid them to stay an hour later because people didnt want to leave yet. Thats another great thing about the Jellyfish- you can stay there as long as you want. No 11:00 time limit. We also paid extra for them to do the ceremony which I would HIGHLY recommend. They played the exact songs I wanted, it was loud so everyone could hear and they had a microphone set up for the rabbi. You have to get them. 

Phil Steingard A++++

He was an amazing photographer! He knows dj mannia and everyone at the majestic so that makes everything ten times easier. He takes unbelievable pictures and I highly recommend him. He is a true artist with his camera. He was on the dance floor with us all night!

Florian Koetter (videopuntacana.com) A++++

We werent going to get a videographer but I am sooo glad we did. I totally recommend Florian. He is amazing. He captured every special moment and I get to relive my wedding over and over. He even had the video ready for us before we left and we couldnt believe what he did.
