Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya All Inclusive
My fiance and I visited the Grand Sirenis on a last minute deal in January 2010, and we were blown away. The lobby is so impressive and it just keeps on going like that...outstanding! We spent so many days at the beach and there was never an issue finding lounges, the food was amazing (often we couldn't eat everything we wanted to try, and the next night was completely different), the bar service on the beach was a nice touch, and the staff were just so very friendly. We spent many evenings listening to the live jazz in the lobby bar, with the breeze blowing, and a tropical drink in hand. The grounds were so very well lit and laid out, and the pools were beautiful. There were just so many extra details that really improved our quality of stay! The jacuzzi in all the rooms was fantastic, and we upgraded to an ocean view room, which was well worth it. We loved it so much, we decided to return a year later and get married! So...January 2011, we brought 23 friends and family, and even though we booked 5 months ahead this time, we only paid $105 dollars more per week (with a group rate) than we paid for the last minute deal. Our guests ranged in age from 9-75 and absolutely everyone had fun, rain or shine. Nobody was sick, just lots of laughs all week. The wedding planner paid so much attention to details that she thought of things I didn't! I expected a few Mexicanisms, but not one...it was perfect!! The golf limo whisked us away to a private secluded beach, free of gawkers. The gazebo, chairs and refreshments were fantastic. Dinner at the Brazilian bbq was amazing, and renting the beach-side palapa for our reception just finished off the evening. We felt like movie stars!! The huge draping fabric, torches, candles and lights were exotic, the pastry chef personally brought our wedding cake, the dj played fun music and it was our private little party. When we returned to our room at the end of it all, there was a hot, rose petal, candle-lit bubble bath in the jacuzzi, with champagne chilling...so, how could it get any better than this?! Even after visiting more expensive places that are "couples only", we would return again to the Grand Sirenis, for such a high quality and reasonably priced, hospitable place. And destination weddings are definitely the way to go...I spent the morning before our wedding sleeping in, going for a run, going for breakfast adn floating down the lazy river before going to get my hair done! Fit for a princess!!
