We did not get married at Dreams but we stayed there for one week with 42 family and friend for our wedding week.  It was a great experience.  The food was outstanding all week.  Amazing steak, fish, pasta.  The variety is great.  We didn't even manage to try one of the restaurants there was so much choice!  The service was very good.  Sometimes it can be slow but the resort was full and they tried.  Drinks were always good and cold.  The snack bar by the beach was perfect for a lunch if you didn't really want to leave the beach.  The beach waiters were great - came by often and laughing, joking, remembering your drink.  Lots of fun.  The kids loved the Kids Club - we had 6 kids and three of the girls went in there quite a few times.  The parents liked having it available too.  The maid service was good for us.  Some in our party complained that it was unpredictable - you might get extra towels, you might not.  We always tipped about $5 a day - not sure if that made a difference or not.  The concierge was good - we had a few communication issues initally but got them worked out and he more than made up for it.  There was champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting for us when we got back from our wedding - he arranged it.  We ordered anniversary surprises for both parents as they are both celebrating their 40th this year.  Well we asked for a flower arrangement and a private beach dinner.  The flower arrangement was 4' tall and stunning, there was champagne, choc fruit, a drawn bath and flower petals everywhere.  Kind of fun to spoil them! 

We had a private Welcome Dinner one night.  It was  taco bar set up down by the Beach area bar.  The area was perfect and decorated like a Mexican Fiesta exactly like I wanted.  The food was delicious.  There was lots of wonderful drinks.  Carlos was the head waiter and he was on top of everything.  We had a cake and sang happy birthday to the group of people turning 40 this year including my hubby and my BM (she loved that!).  Estephania was a little difficult to communicate with by email leading up to this but she got everything right once we got there.  When we checked in there was a letter from her welcoming us and setting up a meeting to go over the details.  Everything went off exactly as planned so I couldn't be happier with her.  I think she would do a great job on a wedding but I don't know how the communication would be beforehand.  Maybe it is better for a wedding than for just a small private event.

The beach is gorgeous.  We saw it set up for a wedding on Feb 14.  We didn't see the wedding as we were doing our TTD but others said it was lovely.  But you will have people walking by in the background.  You could do a really nice private dinner in the garden terrace where we did our Welcome Dinner or if a smaller group like the one on the 14th then just a dinner in one of the restaurants. 

It was a great hotel and we would definitely go back and will try other Dreams.
