I had previously been to a wedding in the Mayan Riviera in November 2008 where the bride and groom used Freddy from Claudia Rodriguez Photography. The pictures from their wedding were so wonderful, that when my future husband and I decided on a location in the Mayan to get married I immediately contacted Claudia's group to see if any of them would be available. We were so pleased to learn that Claudia was available.

Even though we were in different countries, Claudia was always available to answer any questions or provide guidance. Two weeks prior to our departure, the resort that we were to stay at suffered an explosion. Claudia did a great job in calming our fears about continuing to stay at that resort, but one week prior to our departure the entire resort was closed for the investigation. We went through a few days not knowing where we were going to be placed and if we were still going to be able to have our wedding, much less on the same day! Luckily, we were placed at the Azul Fives and were able to keep our original wedding date of Dec.3, 2010.

As the Azul Fives was a newly open resort, Claudia had never been there before. She told us that she was going to arrive early to scout out the area before joining me for the "getting ready" shots. Claudia and her assistant arrived in plenty of time and she was wonderful to work with. You couldn't tell that she had never been to the resort - she has an amazing eye and our pictures turned out wonderfully. She got some amazing shots of the actual wedding ceremony, and I have to say, I don't even remember her being there - she was that unobtrusive. My husband and I love the candid, un-posey shots and she is a master with getting those.

We decided to do the dances right when we entered the reception as opposed to after dinner so we could still get pictures of those and some of the speeches - they all turned out amazing.

A couple weeks after we returned we got the disk with our pictures. As the bride, I was so nervous that i wouldn't like any of them. That was the exact opposite of my problem - there were so many I had trouble choosing my favorites! Claudia gave us WAY more photos than we expected and all the different lenses, effects, styles - we couldn't be happier. I was sad to come home, realizing our wedding was over, but all I need to do is look through those pictures and it's like we're right back there.

We cannot thank Claudia enough for helping us to create beautiful memories of our wedding day in paradise. We would recommend her in a heartbeat.
