My fiance and I stayed at the Canto Del Sol in January 2009. We booked a last minute deal and took a chance. We fell in love with the Canto. It has the best location, very close to downtown PV and relatively close to the Marina. We were able to walk to both in a reasonable amount of time. Walking down the beach to the Malecon was something we did daily for exercise and once to the marina for an excursion. The Plaza Genovesa is right across the street, which was very convenient for the Internet cafe, which was much cheaper than the resort Internet use. Also a variety of shops and restaurants. The staff we amazing from check-in to entertainment to cooks and cleaning staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Another huge plus was the time-share people were not pushy or annoying unlike other experiences we had at other resorts. The food was really good, lots of variety. The rooms were clean and modern, very spacious. We loved it so much that we will be staying there again January 2012 with our wedding group. Hope this was helpful.
