For my Persian-American destination wedding in Cancun, it was important that my make up and hair looked perfect because lets face it everyone’s attentions is on the bride. 

When having a destination wedding and a family from all over the world, it was important to have my make up as perfect as possible. You hear so many horror stories on things going wrong on makeup such as the bride has to much makeup to the point they are not recognizable or there is not enough makeup on. I wanted a natural look and it was important that my hair was intact especially in a humid climate. I told myself if the cake falls or the dress rips its ok but if the make up artist doesn’t show up and my hair comes undone or gets frizzy I will pass out.

When I met with Sara a couple days before the wedding for a hair and makeup consultation, I was so happy. I shared with her my vision and we played around with different colors and hairstyles. Even though it was a consultation my mom was crying and we were both put at ease.

On the day of the wedding, Sara and her team came to my room to get ready. I was not worried at all. When my dad saw me for the first time in my wedding dress he smiled and he was so happy. He said I looked so beautiful. That meant a lot to me coming from my dad.

When I walked down the aisle, my soon to be husband was crying when he saw me. He told me how beautiful I looked and said that my makeup brought out the things he loved about me. Throughout my wedding my makeup did not come off the entire time and my hair was intake and did not hurt at all.

The next day, I was doing an underwater trash the dress session in a cenote and Sara did my makeup. I had to be ready for the shoot super early in the morning. She arrived exactly on time. What I loved about Sara was that she knew a lot about underwater photography and the lighting in cenotes. She gave me another amazing look and applied waterproof makeup. After 2 hours of being underwater, my makeup did not come off. For both my wedding and underwater shoot I never once felt that I had make up on. My hair and makeup came out great in the pictures and the videos. I am so grateful Sara Tamargo did my hair and makeup for my special day.
