We got married at the Excellence Punta Cana on 1/15/16 and we had our pictures taken by Alvaro Gil Perez (the photographer thru the Excellence). 

We actually weren't going to take any picture package (as the ceremony shoot and 24 pictures come with the wedding love package thru the resort) and my sister in law is a photographer so she was going to do the rest.

The week before the wedding I decided it would be fun to have some getting ready photos though so I emailed Alvaro (as he had emailed me previously to introduce himself and see if we needed anything from him to help with the wedding) and asked if we could still get the wedding photo package 1.  He said of course and to come to his desk sometime before the wedding to meet him.  We did that the day before the wedding.  He and his staff were great!  Very friendly and helpful.  At this time we upgraded to the wedding photo package 2.

Alvaro said he would meet the groom/groomsmen in our room at 3:30 the next day to shoot the getting ready pictures of them and then meet me at 4 at the spa since that is where me and my bridesmaids were getting ready.

He was prompt and professional and just wonderful!  I hate having my picture taken but he made it so easy!  He was so nice and had amazing ideas and took absolutely breathtaking pictures! 

The groom was worried and thought the getting ready shots might be "cheesy" and may not be worth it.....boy was he wrong!  He has even said (multiple times since the wedding!) how great they are and how he did not expect them to be so amazing! 

We are absolutely delighted with the pictures and what a great job Alvaro did!  He was running all over the place in order to get the perfect shots!  He went above and beyond what we were expecting!  We are so thankful for that as these represent our special day and we can look at them thru the years to remember how perfect everything was!

We are so happy that we decided to have him take more pictures than what came with the love wedding package!  We ended up purchasing all 250 pictures at a very reasonable price!  We received the cd with all the pictures on it and also a beautiful slideshow cd with all the pictures set to music!  Plus he sent us a gorgeous photo book that we received only 1 week after we got home! 

We really can't thank Alvaro enough.  He has such a remarkable talent!  The only thing I regret is not having him take the dinner/reception photos too as now I wish we had some of his amazing pictures (instead of just our and guests camera shots) for those moments too!

We highly recommend getting pictures taken as EVERYONE who has seen them has commented on how beautiful they are and what a great job Alvaro did!
