This review is FAR overdue!!

My husband and I had the pleasure of working with Sam and his assistant for our wedding in Playa del Carmen back in June 2013. We actually were recipients of a discounted wedding and trash the dress package from a contest he ran through Best Destination Wedding. We were married at the Paradisus Playa del Carmen La Esmerelda - and at the time they were I believe using del Sol Photography - my husband and I had been looking through their photos and were not overly impressed - especially when we saw the price tag attached.

When we heard from Sam that we had won his services we were both really excited to work with him - his portfolio is amazing - and I was really excited about the trash the dress session.

communication throughout the entire process was very easy - he was always very quick to respond and has since helped us out as we sadly lost most of our photos in a basement flood where our computer and external drive they were stored on were damaged. I cannot explain how much it means that he is taking the time to help us out when our wedding was over 2 years ago now.

When we first met him he was very friendly and professional and helped us feel so comfortable and at ease. we could not have picked a better person personality wise to be with us. He is fun loving and got our wedding party excited about taking the photos and really getting everyone into the mood - and helped my husband and I be a bit more serious so we could get some of the more classic wedding shots - tough to do as we are always laughing with each other - was extremely hard to keep a straight face and his patience was much appreciated! :)

The day of the wedding he was very diligent and was able to capture some of the most amazing candid shots we will treasure forever - his attention to detail and eye for photography is truly a gift - looking back at the photos I get to remember tiny flashbacks of exactly how I felt that day - he was able to capture our emotion perfectly.

The day after the wedding we got to play on the beach in a trash the dress session where we included our wedding party for a big portion of the photos - we had so much fun - and hop he did as well - he had some really fun ideas and suggestions and we all still look back and laugh at what a great time it was. The photos truly are so special and we are so fortunate to have worked with a photographer who could capture the essence of us and be able to transform our personalities through the photos.

If we have the chance to meet again I would never hesitate to work with him again - and I would definitely give a wholehearted recommendation to anyone looking for a photographer in Mexico.

Again, I can't say enough how much we enjoyed our sessions with Sam and what a pleasure he was to work with. on top of everything else, I found his turnaround time to be quite quick especially considering how many photos he takes the time to edit for his clients.
