We were married at Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe in Riviera Maya on August 28, 2015. We went back and forth for several months trying to decide if we wanted a DJ or if we would just have a playlist on our iPod. The resort wanted to charge $2,335 for a DJ and light up dance floor for four hours! In addition to the outrageous price, they said the DJ would not announce the bridal party and MC throughout the night. We started looking into hiring an outside DJ. We read reviews about Disco Movil and were thoroughly impressed with Ricardo. From the moment we contacted him, we were impressed. He responded quickly and professionally. He sent a DJ form when we paid our deposit. We typed out our bridal party, first dance song, father/daughter song, etc. The song I wanted to dance to with my dad was about five minutes and I wanted to snip parts of the song. Ricardo did exactly what I asked and sent me a sample to listen to prior to the wedding. It rained the day of our wedding and the wedding was moved to an indoor location and pushed back 45 minutes. Luckily it stopped raining and we were able to have our ceremony in the gazebo, but the reception had to be moved inside. The wedding planner and photographer still wanted to end their services at the regularly scheduled time (which is ridiculous when you are paying by the hour-but promptness is not an expectation in Mexico. We noticed that people often arrived late, but always left on time). Ricardo was prompt. However, when my bridesmaids discussed the issue with him, he didn't even stop to think about it. He was absolutely willing to stay 45 minutes later. The wedding planner had agreed to keep her staff there if the DJ agreed to stay later, so that was HUGE! I am convinced that our wedding would have been much more stressful and would not have been so memorable for all of our guests without Ricardo. We are so thankful for his professionalism, promptness, and kindness. If you want to have a low stress wedding day with the best dance party of your life, you NEED to contact Ricardo! His communication, professionalism, and kindness can not be beat!
