We decided on the Sunscape Durado Pacifico Ixtapa Mexico as I had been to this resort in 2013 and 2014 and my fiance' in 2014.  We liked the size of the resort, the friendliness of the staff and so much more- so we invited friends and family to join us for our Feb. 2015 destination wedding.  We ended up with 33 people total.  They all enjoyed their stay and reported to us that the wedding was the "best ever".  Abigail Barrientos was our wedding coordinator and did a fabulous job.  Her attention to detail was outstanding. She made herself available via email in the weeks and months before- answering all my questions and concerns. Once we arrived she handled the last minute details with us- making us feel very comfortable with having a destination wedding.  On the day of the wedding Abigail was going back and forth assisting with not only the bride, but the groom and our guests.  She did an outstanding job, and stayed late into the night to be certain we were happy with everything.  The Sunscape accommodated us to use the "Oceana" restaurant for our reception after our beach front ceremony.  We had a DJ playing music for hours.  The food and the wedding cake presentation and taste were amazing.  The cooks and wait staff who handled the dinner were all extremely professional and friendly.  I spoke with our friends and family and they all commented on how intimate and fun the wedding was, some saying "best ever".  The one stressful time would be in checking in such a large group.  2/3rds arrived on Thursday and 1/3rd on Friday.  A few of our guests had issues with the room they were assigned, as it wasn't what they reserved.  The staff at the front desk did their best to accommodate them and some room changes were made. The staff at the Sunscape Durado Pacifico were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay.   The one complaint some of our guests and others had was not having higher end “brand”  liquor choices.  I myself did notice that this had changed from my previous vacations here.  It was great that the elevators were new!!!  We can't say enough about the way we were treated from check in to check out.  And of course the weather made it so that nobody wanted to return home to below freezing temperatures in Wisconsin.   ;)
