From the moment you walk into the lobby, you know you are at the Grand.  It just feels like a real classy joint!  We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Ocean Front Suite and it is STUNNING!  Unobstructed views and the most amazing terrace.  Honestly, I could've just stayed on it all day.

 

Rooms are very spacious with comfy beds, large bathrooms with double sinks opposite from each other.  Bathrobes, slippers, the usual 4.5 star amenities.  The only thing lacking is a few more outlets.

 

Food is fantastic, even the buffets.  Breakfast buffet had these homemade hashbrowns that had fresh ground pepper already mixed in- to die for!  And I love when they have local Jamaican fare.  The lunch buffet always has tons of seafood which I love.  And the restaurant is oceanfront with more views.  Dinners were fantastic but can definitely take at least 1.5 hrs.  Although I enjoy resorts with no reservations required, it's nice to have a concierge to make them for you which I highly recommend doing as soon as you arrive.

 

The beach is great but when we were there, the chairs were all being saved early in the morning.  Super annoying.  There were definitely not enough.  Also for such a high end resort, it would be nice to have better beach chairs.  The entertainment staff was great and provided a lot of laughs during the day.

 

One of my favorite parts of the resort is the nighttime theater.  It is just so cute and the entertainment was great!  Really enjoyed it.

 

Service here is super friendly if not maybe more on the reserved side compared to Secrets.  Wi-fi was good and free if staying here.  What's also nice is you have access to the hydrotherapy area at the spa even if you don't have an appointment.  And you have access to the Suites and the Beach which can definitely be a little more lively.  Definitely a quality 4.5 star resort that is worth the money!
