I will be honest. I was a little skeptical about selecting a resort I had never seen in person and just chose based on Trip Advisor reviews. Well I am so glad I chose this resort. It was simply amazing. The resort itself was beautiful. It was very tropical and felt like you were in a jungle, until you rounded the corner and saw the beautiful beach, pool, etc. It was simply beautiful. Here are a few specifics about the resort and events..

The food - the food was really good! I liked the Japanese restaurant the best, Tsuki. They ran out of Sake because I'm pretty sure I drank it all. The food for the wedding rehearsal was great too. They are opening more restaurants soon, which looked really pretty. It will allow more options so that will be great. The breakfast buffet was AMAZING. It had everything you could ever want. Lizards was a great option during lunch because you could wear your cover up and it was by one of the pools. My one tip is to make reservations for dinner in advance. It was hard to get reservations the day of at certain restaurants.

The property - it was simply beautiful. There were spider monkeys everywhere which was super cool. One of them even came up on my balcony and stole my apple, then sat there and ate it. Everything was perfect. They were always cleaning. I never saw anything that looked unappealing to the eye. Everything was beautiful. The pools that went throughout the property, sort of like a lazy river, were really neat too. It allowed for all kinds of places for groups to hang out. It's a large property, but it was amazing. Everyone loved it. There have been some complaints about construction, but I didn't notice a thing. I saw some, but was never a distraction.

The service - the minute you walk in the resort, they are amazing. Everyone was so attentive and anything you needed, they brought to you immediately. My now mother-in-law needed a measuring cup and the chef actually went to his house to get one that wasn't a commercial size. They go above and beyond to make you happy. The bell boy, Ernesto, was awesome. Our server multiple times, Ernesto, was also awesome. The entertainment staff was awesome too.

Activities - They have so many activities that you almost feel like you're on a cruise ship. It was really fun. They really involve people too, which was nice.

The Wedding & Wedding Events - It could not have gone any better. Gabriella and Angelica (the wedding coordinators on-site) were absolutely amazing. They made our wedding perfect. Seriously, not a thing went wrong and it exceeded my expectations. They are simply the best. They even allowed me to change the location of my ceremony when I arrived on Tuesday because I realized the beach was not what I envisioned. They were really helpful.

All in all, if you're looking for a property, I would definitely recommend Azul Fives. I miss it already and wish I could re-live my wedding, because it was the best day ever - largely in part to the hotel and my husband! :)
