I just had the opportunity to visit this most extrodinary resort a few weeks ago, and just seeing the property briefly it has stayed with me.. so wanted to share a bit of information.

Rosewood Mayakoba is located about a 40 minute drive south of the Cancun airport, but a million miles away from the rest of the world!

It is in the very upscale and deluxe Mayakoba area, that includes a most beautiful Golf Course, as well as Cenotes, and waterways.

This property has 128 suites and villas throuhgout the lagoons situated thoughout the property, some in the lagoon area and some beachfront.

Accommodations range from Suites to large Villas, and all are beautiful, spacious, elegant, and constructed to fit into the natural habitat.

Upon arrival guests are often taken by private boat to their room, and with this delivery you will know you have entered a very special place! Knock your socks off touches surround you here.. when we arrived, we were greeted as often occurs at the lovely resorts in the area, with a tray holding cool towels, and a lovely cool drink, but we were also greeted with a gift of the most amazing handkerchiefs, embroidered with our initials, and with the Wright Travel Agency Logo embroidered on the back. Amazing!!! The wedding staff promises similar and equally wonderful surprises await the wedding couples we send to them!

There are paths and trails throughout the property, and there are bicycles throughout guests may use to get from place to place, or you can choose to chill right in your own room and order meals in and they will be delivered to you.

This is a luxury property and pricing is on the high side, but if you are looking for best of the best, either as a site for your wedding, or perhaps for a most memorable honeymoon, this is one to consider!

Rosewood Mayakoba has received numerous awards throughout the travel industry, including Travel + Leisure "World's Best Awards: Top Resort in Mexico"... they are very deserving of this award!!!
