Review of On-Site Wedding Coordinator Elizabeth Sotelo
My wife and I had our wedding at the Hyatt Zilara Cancun on March 7, 2014. Words can really not describe the amount of love and appreciation that we have for a woman named Elizabeth Sotelo. She is the most wonderful wedding coordinator anyone could ever ask for!! She is truly an amazing person, and we now consider her part of our family.
I will be the first to admit that I could be very difficult to please and extremely demanding of others when it comes to having things done exactly the way I want them to. I am extremely detail oriented and will admit in the months leading up to the wedding I was a little bit stressed with the thought of who our on-site wedding coordinator would be. All of that stress went out the window from the moment I received the first email from Elizabeth Sotelo two weeks before flying to Mexico introducing herself as our On-site wedding coordinator and going over some of the key details of the wedding. In the days leading up to our arrival to Mexico, I contacted Elizabeth several times with questions/concerns/ideas for the wedding and she was always so quick to respond. She responded to EVERY SINGLE EMAIL and request and really went above and beyond, it was so comforting to know that she was either just a quick email or phone call away. This really put our minds at ease, allowing us to focus on other aspects of the wedding in the days leading up to our departure.
Our initial meeting started at 10:30am at the hotel the day after we arrived exactly four days prior to our wedding. Our meeting with Elizabeth lasted for 5+ HOURS! She sat there and listened to the vision we had for our wedding and took several pages of notes and asked a ton of questions to make sure she did not miss a thing. As our meeting came to a close she sat across from us with a big smile on her face and asked, “is there anything else you would like to go over?” I was so impressed, she told us that she was prepared to sit and talk with us for as long as we needed her to in order for us to feel 100% comfortable. Her attention to detail was outstanding, and although she does several of theses meetings in a week, along with several other weddings, we had her full attention that morning/afternoon as if nothing else in the world mattered except making us 100% happy. She made the entire process seem effortless which put us at ease and allowed us to really enjoy the days leading up to the wedding with our family and friends at the hotel. After leaving her office that afternoon and leaving her with all of our wedding day items that we brought with us (table cards, maracas, menus, etc.) we had absolutely zero stress. Our wedding had A LOT of moving parts and the entire day of the wedding she was EVERYWHERE making sure that everything was absolutely perfect. We were entirely stress free the entire wedding day. No request was ever too big or too small, she did everything in her power to make us happy and she always did it with a big beautiful smile on her face. Elizabeth was an absolute joy to work with from start to finish.
To all the future couples getting married at The Hyatt Zilara and working with Elizabeth I want you all to know that this woman is amazing and you will not be disappointed, she will make all your dreams come true and do it with a smile on her face and make it look effortless. She has a passion for what she does and it clearly shows in her work. I hope that the Hyatt Zilara, Real Resorts, and the Playa Hotel management team recognize what a special person they have working for them and reward her accordingly. She gives 200% effort to her work and that is very hard to come by, please reward her for this, she deserves it!!! Even our photographer who is an independent outside vendor separate from the hotel commented that Elizabeth was the kindest, most welcoming wedding coordinator and by far the best he has ever come into contact with in the many years he has been filming and photographing weddings.
Elizabeth, we would both like to thank you from the very bottom of our hearts, we will forever be indebted to you as it is because of your gracious efforts that our vision for our dream wedding was made a reality. Muchas Gracias! J
Review of Off-Site Wedding Coordinator Katia Nunez
When my wife and I finally chose The Hyatt Zilara Cancun as our wedding venue we were assigned an Off-Site wedding coordinator to work with. This person is in charge of gathering all of the details in the months leading up to the wedding. We were luckily assigned the lovely Katia Nunez. She was an absolute joy to work with. When everything was all said and done we must have had close to 100 emails exchanged between us, and she responded to every single request and got everything perfect!!! Katia was a great communicator and was ALWAYS available when I needed her to be. She was thorough in her emails and made sure to have an answer to every question that was asked of her. Since Katia does not work at the Hotel I was never able to meet her in person and I really want her to know how much I appreciate all of her efforts in making my dream wedding come true. As the wedding approached Katia handed me off to Elizabeth Sotelo (my on-site wedding coordinator who was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, see review above), and I must say I was sad when she passed me along because I felt SO comfortable with Katia and really formed a bond with her. It was always so calming to hear her soft voice on the other side of the phone when dealing with all of my crazy requests. She is an absolute professional that deserves recognition and to be rewarded for the work she does.
Katia, thank you for your patience throughout the entire wedding process you were absolutely amazing! I really hope to meet you one day! To all the couples getting married at The Hyatt Zilara Cancun or with the Real Resorts group who are assigned Katia Nunez as your Off-Site wedding coordinator please rest easy because she is truly the best of the best! When planning a destination wedding it really requires the couple to have trust and faith in other people and I am so glad that Katia was with me most of the journey. Thank you SO MUCH!!!
Love,
D&A
