We had a group of 52 stay in november 2010 from anywhere from 3 nights to 12 nights.  We chose this hotel because we have stayed here previously and loved it.  We did not have our wedding there so I cant rate on the wedding experience...although there were probably 8 weddings there my whole trip so I did see alot! We love staying the preferred tower. The hot tub on the balcony, the upgraded bathroom, and the swanky atmosphere are worth the extra money to us.  We have half stay in the old tower and half in the new.  Guests in the old tower were very happy with their rooms too.  If you want to stay in the old tower the 01 (1501, 1601, 1701, etc) rooms are set up to look like the new rooms....a bit larger than the others in that tower.  

It was a bit crowded when we got there.  It was the weekend before thanksgiving.  Lots of young couples and singles.  We had to wait long periods of time to get into restaurants and then a super long time for food.  We were on vacation though so we didnt care.  By the end of our stay, the resort was almost empty so wait times were non-exsistent.  If you go to oceana, order the chilean salmon appetizer...its to die for.  All of the fish is amazing at all the restaurants.  Our least favorite was portofino, mostly because its down in the basement.  We prefer to sit outside or at least see outside.  Favorite is seaside or oceana.  Loved their daily drink specialties...all very good.   My all time favorite though is the dirty monkey.  We felt ok drinking in the morning too because it has a banana taste! They also have fun theme nights.  They went all out for mexican independence day and thanksgiving.  Amazing decorations and food.  The staff REALLY gets into it!

The beach is secluded and very well kept.  Sand is soft and the ocean doesnt really kick anything up.  Well kayaking we saw stingrays right next to us jumping out the the water playing, a sea turtle, dolphins, and a whale.  Amazing! 

Service was great.  We had a few issues with the bills coming up wrong but they were quickly corrected.  One couple had their ceiling fall in in their bathroom (new tower) and they were quickly moved to another room on a higher floor.  

Honestly, I dont have any negatives.  Any problem was quickly resolved.  I 100% recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great vacation/wedding stay.  Again, my wedding was not here so I cant rate on that.  We are going to make this hotel our thanksgiving tradition and hopefully go every year.
