Wright Travel is AMAZING!

When you start your journey as a destination bride, the most important decision you will make (after saying "Yes!"), is your travel agent. Using Wright Travel is the best decision you will make!!!!!! I am so grateful that I found them.

Some advice:

DO NOT try to coordinate yourself! There's a reason there are people who specialize in weddings and groups :)

Do NOT use a travel agent or agency who claims to "specialize" in destination weddings. Read reviews & research the company! Make sure they can back up their claims, and ask for references to other brides with a similar size wedding & location.

If you encounter destinationweddings.com RUN AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN, do NOT pay them $50, Do NOT TALK TO THEM! They nearly ruined my wedding and caused serious problems! :angry:  (I will post a review about them, please see that or message me for additional info).

Do not confuse bestdestinationweddings.com (this forum, also referred to as BDW.com) and destinationweddings.com (also called DW.com). They are 2 different companies! dw.com has NO relation to this site or wright travel!

OK- on to my review :D

We worked with Wendy Hicks & the owner of BDW forum- Tammy Wright. They quickly came to the rescue when dw.com screwed up our wedding. We had to fire DW.com, change resorts & re-book ALL of our guests! Tammy & Wendy stepped in and helped advise us through the process, then quickly found alternate resorts 5 months from our wedding date that could accommodate our large groups of 77 guests.

Wendy was organized, responsive and my saving grace through our wedding process! Not only did all our guests rave about how sweet and great she was, but she was on top of every situation that came up as our guests were traveling (forgotten passports, flight delays, missed flights etc). Trust me, it will happen!

Wendy got us great rates, and specials perks and was able to get the resort to make concessions and do things outside of the norm with just a phone call!

If you work with multiple agents in the beginning, you will see that some agencies try to get you to pay a deposit or sign a contract just to begin working with you. They will also write their own cancellation policy into the contract (outside of the hotels cancellation policies). Wright travel will not make you pay a deposit just to talk to them. Their contract cancellation mirrors the hotels cancellation policy. They are not out to make a quick buck on you, but instead, they are an agency with morals & values who will always do they right thing that is in your best interest.  They want to help you have the best wedding possible!

They helped us to have the wedding of our dreams! I am a picky girl, and our wedding was PERFECT! I fully credit Wright Travel and BDW.com for making our dream wedding a reality. Without them and this forum, I have no idea if our wedding would have ever happened lol.
