Hi Everyone,

We used Photo Souvenir for our December 3rd, 2013 wedding at the Majestic Elegance. We decided mainly to go with this photographer because of the style that he used and the fact that he was local for the trash the dress session. We booked a number of months out and arranged to meet a couple days prior to the wedding upon arrival. The meeting itself went incredibly smoothly and I had a good feeling right off the bat.

On wedding day (wedding was at the Majestic Elegance and the reception and dinner was at Jellyfish) Renaud met with the girls first for pictures while getting ready and then the guys, The creativity behind his pictures were perfect and he was able to capture a lot of candid photos (which we were delighted with) along with some great posed pictures. Renaud was able to capture the feeling of the day perfectly on his own but was also genuinely excited when we came up ideas for pictures that we wanted as well. His personal touch during this was amazing. We just received our pictures a day ago and, when looking through, we were amazed at what he captured. He caught so many moments from angles which were perfect and we didn't even realize he was taking at the time. He seamlessly fit into the ceremony and provided the quality of pictures which we wanted.

After the ceremony he took full control of the group and was able to ensure that we received all the pictures of family, friends, etc, that we spoke about previously. I know that there was a post previously saying that he didn't organize the group appropriately, but that was definitely not the case for us. We were a pretty laid back and large group (50 people) so we needed some direction - Renaud ensured that we had that.

Prior to dinner we set up some more wedding party shots while the sun was setting. It was a pretty incredible scene for us as the colors in the sky were all sorts of different shades of pink and purple. Unfortunately for us, the sunsets only last a short time, but fortunately Renaud optimized the time that we did have to ensure that we had some once in a lifetime pictures.

During the Reception and Dinner Renaud, once again, fit right into our wedding. He was outgoing and friendly, which enabled him to really connect with our guests and take shots which truly reflected the atmosphere. He managed to capture a lot of the pictures of the decor (which was great because it turns out none of our guests did) and stayed on top of the evening from start to finish. He didn't miss a beat and, even when we stayed a bit later at Jellyfish than our contract was negotiated, he stayed right to the end.

The day after we had the trash the dress session, a major selling feature for why we initially chose Photo Souvenir. The places that we were taken were phenomenal. We really wanted to have pictures which truly represented the people, culture, and environment of the Dominican and not only of the resort and the restaurant - One of the best decisions we made. If you want authentic pictures in the DR, go with Photo Souvenir. Renaud's knowledge of the surrounding area, along with ability to connect with locals so that you can have truly unique pictures was awesome to see. At one point we were in a local lady's outdoor cooking area for pictures (the lady also seemed really excited to have a bride and groom taking pictures with her)!

I can honestly say that this photographer was the perfect choice for us. Our guests were even commenting on how amazing he seemed the day after.

We just received our pictures a day ago and we were blown away. Not only did the trash the dress pictures come out perfect but Renaud managed to capture images from the ceremony and prior perfectly. The quality of photography was everything that we could have asked.

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Renaud and Photo Souvenir and truly thank him for experience and pictures he provided.
