I booked Victor Herrerra for my October 16, 2010 wedding at Barcelo Maya Palace.  I booked Victor and his assistant for 7 hours on the day of the wedding as well as a 2 hour TTD session the following day.  Initially, I was worried as this was a huge portion of my total wedding budget; however, I cannot say how much every penny was money well spent.

First off, Victor, his assistant and his 2 associatates showed up for wedding.  Again I only booked Victor and his assistant, so I'm assuming his associates were available so they tagged along at no charge to us.  I was in complete shock as this doubled the amount of shots that were taken.  Victor and one associate were in different places at once taking photos.  This was more than I could have expected.

Second, Victor's eye for lighting and placement is amazing.  His creative use of light, mirrors and shadows made unique and interesting photos.  Throughout the getting ready, ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and reception, he was always trying to get the best shot- whether that meant almost lying on the ground or standing on a chair- he did it.

Third, I asked Victor to please take candid shots of all my guests at the reception.  (I really wanted a photo booth to rent; however, I could not find one.  I did not mention this to Victor.)  As a surprise, he brought a box full of new party accessories- boas, hats, wigs, funky sunglasses, etc.  He broke these out towards the end of the reception and set-up a photo booth like area for all my guests to take photos.  I was so excited...I guess I showed my excitement as I have 30+ pics of me in different wigs, glasses.  I guess I got a bit carried away...

Last, Victor pulled together a slide show during the reception.  So towards the end, he pulled me and my new hubby to the side and played it on the laptop.  Can I say WOW?  It made us so excited to be able to quickly reflect on the day and see his amazing work.

Victor also pulled together a website for Chais and I very quickly and even gave us a few extra photos that were past the limit in the contract.  I keep sending the link to everyone I know because everyone keeps saying how amazing our pictures are.  We even have a few newlyweds who are now upset they did not invest more in their photographer.  And guess what, Victor's prices are amazing for the work you get.  So worth it!!

PS. Victor also has alot of patience.  He and his assistant met us at 5:30am the next day to start the TTD shoot.  He was very patient with 2 very tired and grumpy people and turned us into amazing models for the photos!  Not sure how he did it cause I was definitely cranky and not posing well.  Oops!  PM me if you have any questions...I'd would love to help with any questions because Victor is definitely worth it!
