Claudia and her team photographed our wedding at the Barcelo Maya Palace on July 6, 2013 and I am SO happy we chose to go with her as our photographer. We compared several who work in the area and decided to go with Claudia for several reasons. She had been to and had photos of several weddings at our resort. This was so nice to see the places that we would most likely be getting pictures before the wedding day. Also, her prices were probably the best of all the companies we looked at, plus her photos are gorgeous. She even had a little wiggle room on the price of adding extra hours to the package we chose.

First, Claudia was great at communicating via email before the wedding. I was worried (since my Spanish is terrible) that we would have miscommunications due to the language barrier. However, it was apparent in her first emails that she's VERY fluent in English and had absolutely no issues answering my every question. This was such a relief after having some difficulties with the wedding planner at the resort. Claudia was also great about sending me tips and even answering questions about the venue that my wedding planner didn't tell me!!! She even emailed a few weeks before the wedding and suggested I tan a little, and buy some bandeau bathing suits to avoid tan lines, which was so kind of her.

The day of the wedding, Claudia was also amazing. Her brother photographed my groom and his groomsmen, and Claudia came to my room. It was so awesome to see the pictures of my groom getting ready, since I obviously didn't see him that day. Her brother took some very nice photos, with a good mix of goofy and silly pictures that capture my groom's personality. Claudia was very attentive and calm, which was so nice. She had great tips for when we were all squinting because of the sun and she was really patient in posing a whole wedding party of un-photogenic people :) Her shots of my husband and I were so nice. They were definitely my favourite of the whole day. She seemed to be able to capture subtle looks and the emotion is really apparent in her photos. During the reception she got a really surprising number of photos. I was clearly not paying attention to what she and her assistant were doing, but I was pleasantly surprised at the when we saw all the different photos.

Also, Claudia was able to send us a sneak peek of 15 photos to have for our 'at-home reception 4 weeks later,' which was so nice! The only downfall was that the link to the online gallery took about 10 weeks to receive, when I think we were quoted 6-8 weeks in the contract. I was just SO excited to see them that it was really tough to wait. However, to be fair it WAS the busy season for her, and when we got the photos she gave us probably 100 more than what we paid for and they were well worth the wait.

Overall, I would hire Claudia and her brother again in a heartbeat. Amazing photos, reasonable price, and very kind and down to earth people!
