i actually was a guest of a wedding here over the summer, so i don't know the cost and behind the scenes details that went on, but I stayed there for 5 days and went to 3 wedding events. i actually was not a big fan of having a destination wedding for myself, but after i went as a guest to this particular wedding, i was heavily SOLD on this idea! the wedding had a "beach bonfire" event that was set up like a trendy downtown lounge but right on the beach, a pre-wedding dinner reception set up like an actual wedding reception at an outdoor terrace, and the actual wedding on the beach and reception at the hotel fine dining restaurant with an outdoor dancefloor. at each event, waiters had trays of beer and delicious margaritas already made for us as we entered, on top of a full bar. there was always someone around to serve us drinks! during the ceremony, it was blazing hot! but they had attendants come with cold, wet towels for the guests...genius! the manager was present always and was very receptive in helping us during the day around the pool. wedding food itself was ok, although the quesadilla appetizers at the wedding restaurant were amazing! the regular buffet food was not great though, most of us were pretty disappointed as it is a westin. the salon/spa was pretty good too. i had my nails done there and it was more expensive than i'd usually get at a salon in LA but they used OPI polish and the polish looked nice for almost a week! longer than usual for me. if this wedding didnt just happen, i'd pick this place for myself next year! :P
