Pros: great resort for large party, very accomodating for special requests, lots of fun for all ages, great drinks!!
Cons: Mixed reviews on the food, need to go for the highest package to get the best features

PART 1

PLANNING & BOOKING:

We asked around and were referred to a couple of travel agents.  The one that eventually impressed us the most with her prompt replies and honest answers was at AMA Travel, so we decided to go with them.  The selecting of the resort proved to be a much more difficult task….

CHOOSING A RESORT

We were pretty limited in selecting a resort because of my husband’s family coming from small town BC.  In order to get anywhere they required an additional transfer (read at least another $300) so many of our ‘first picks’ were wiped out immediately.  I had my heart set on a couple of places that I had fallen in love with through some photographer’s work at wedding there.  We knew it HAD to be the Caribbean side of Mexico, my husband and I fell in love with the white sands and turquoise seas of Cancun two years ago and were not willing to budge on that factor.  Aside from that the things that were most important were:

  1. Beach ceremony location
  2. Outdoor or open air dinner/reception possibilities
  3. Good party atmosphere. Family friendly but NOT family focused
  4. Relatively close to excursions/sire seeing.
  5. Minimum 4 stars
  6. No more than $1700 all in for seven days for any of our guests.

The Grand Sirenis was not our first pick and actually was quite low on our list initially. But, as things progressed and our first picks dropped off, it popped up in the selections, and as it ended up we literally know like ten or more different people who have stayed here, all with rave review.  It worked with the price point (after our TA was able to get us free transfers for our BC guests which was fantastic), had everything we needed/wanted in terms of our wedding. The costs for the wedding itself were quite reasonable as well, which was not the case with some of the others we were researching. As we discussed with people our plans, it turns out many friends and family had been to the resort at various times, and we heard rave reviews all around.

CONTACTING THE RESORT

Initially our TA contacted the resort to get things started with securing our date (we also made sure to let them know at that point, which was approximately eleven months prior to the wedding, that we wanted to book the Palapa as our reception venue).   This part was no problem, the problem stuff came later….

Our date came about because we were trying to give our guests one year to plan/save and as it turns out our wedding date was exactly one day and a year after we were engaged.

WEDDING REQUIREMENTS & COSTS :

We decided early on it would be much cheaper/easier to just do a civil ceremony in Mexico and deal with the legal aspects at home.  We told our parents only about this.  We really weren’t keen on handing over birth certificates and passports in Mexico so decided against that.   It’s definitely a choice everyone has to make for themselves, where they stand on that.

PHOTOGRAPHER :

This is where everyone will probably think I’m nuts, but I had contacted my photographer before we were even engaged to see if she would be available for an early 2013 destination (I knew the ring was coming and wanted to get on her radar).  Being a photographer myself this was priority number one, and the thing I was willing to pay for and would not settle on.  As it turned out I was engaged shortly there after and was able to secure her for our day.  She is a local photographer from here in Edmonton, and I am in LOVE with her work. She and her husband travelled with our group and stayed as guests for seven days at the resort (as such there were no outside fees since technically they were guests).  This was by far the easiest money I’ve ever spent, if you have a moment to check out the blogs posts at the end of my review, you will see why ;) We did a Rock the Dress session two days after the wedding as well, and I will recommend tat EVERYONE do it!! I loved that dress so much, I couldn’t wait to do it again.  I dealt with a bit of a cranky groom at 6:00am, but it was worth it!

TOUR OPERATOR – AIR CANADA VACATIONS

For the most part we were pleased with this.  Since my husband and I changed to a 10 day instead of a 7 day trip we were not able to have the free first class upgrade for bride and groom, which we were displeased with.  But, we did get some credits back for having so many guests so that was a definite plus, and helped pay for one of the photographers’ trips.  We were allowed one check bag a piece and had one extra each (4 total), which only cost us $36 so no complaints!  I also sent two packages with a friend to check on, so in total we paid an extra $90 there and back for extra wedding stuff (we left lots there).

Most people had very good things to say about our TA and her prompt responses. I was overall very impressed.  She always kept in good contact with me, and made us a Facebook group where we could add all of our guests. She alerted everyone with deadlines for any payments, which was awesome.

The flights included free movies on the chairbacks, which was super awesome. I think last time we went to Cancun we spent $40 watching movies, so this was a definite plus.

Round trip transportation from the airport was included in our package.  At first at the airport it was a giant mess, the Air Canada rep grabbed our stuff and started putting it on a bus, it wasn’t until we almost GOT ON IT that we realized the bus was going to Guatamela!?! We realized we needed Air Canada VACATIONS, so we found them.  I was expecting a really nice luxury bus like I have had in the past for transfers, were there is a bathroom and they sell you beer, etc.  This was basically a 7 passenger van that they crammed us into, not the greastest after a long day of travelling. But, after an hour and half ride we arrived…

As far as the Grand Sirenis Round trip travel service goes (we had ten free included with our Pres. Package), since we had it provided with our packages we only had one guest use the Sirenis package (one that didn’t book with our group rate). He said it went off completely without a hitch; he had a luxury travel bus all to himself.  So, I’ll rate that as awesome.

PART 2

CHECK-IN

Again, reading “customized check-in for bride and groom” in the Presidential Package description, I def. thought it would something a bit more ‘fancy’ for us.  We weren’t even given cocktails, which is usually what happens being just a regular guest at even a lower quality hotel. So, I found that kind of lame. We told the concierge that we were the bride and groom with the Pres package, and he tried to give us the same wrist bands as our guests were getting. We had to ask about the wristbands for him to give us Gold instead of Silver.  Again, really weird.  But, a very nice thing was that Elizabeth was there to greet us at the check-in desk and gave us both big hugs and confirmed that we would meet her on Monday morning at 9AM to review all of our wedding stuff.

As far as the rooms go, the guest’s rooms were all very lovely.  I heard good things from all of our guests and I found all of the rooms to be quite spacious, they even had a sitting area with couch and all had nice large soaker tubs and larger dressing areas in the bathroom, so that’s a plus I think.   I did hear after the fact that a lot of people’s patio sliders were not locking properly and that was stressful for some of our female guests who were staying alone (my husband’s two younger sisters and my MOH and another of our friends were really concerned about the safety as they had ground floors).  We had to send a full guest list to Elizabeth about a month before the wedding, and I had requested that all of our guests be put in the same building, since the resort was so large.  At the end of the day we were spread through four buildings, so that didn’t happen at all.  Not sure how we could have prevented that, I guess I could have harassed them about it,  perhaps my bad in assuming that since I sent the info they had taken care of it (??).

We were taken to our room with all of the luggage on one of the golf carts, which was great because we had a lot!  We checked out my brother-in-laws room on the way and were commenting on how nice it was.  The driver told us that if we thought that was nice, we were in for a surpise….

The Presidential Suite 8/10

All I can say is, WOW.  Seriously, don’t think twice about it, book the Presidential Suite!!  We didn’t have the funds leftover for a ‘honeymoon’ so we had decided long ago that we would get ourselves a nice room for the ten days we were there (the pres. Package also had many of the things we really wanted).  It a stunning room: two flat screen TV’s, beautiful huge bathroom with a make-up vanity, big soaker tub, full bar area with TONS of booze at your disposal, large walk-in shower,  sitting area and a beautiful balcony that overlooks the pool.  We were greeted with a crazy array of liquor and snacks, it was lovely.  Needless to say our room quickly became the place to party!  A word of advice, all of the liquor they leave you is supposed to just be a onetime thing, if you throw about $100 pesos down next to the empty bottle in the morning, they will give you another one (not that anyone who has a wedding in Mexico likes to drink, right?) J

One thing that was not so awesome in the suite was this:  There is an entire wall of window facing the pool cabana area.  The panel that looked directly at our bed had the shade screen but NOT the black-out/privacy shade. So, anyone laying by the pool could see DIRECTLY into our bed area. Not cool, the obvious privacy reasons, but also because the sun rises at 6:00 in Mexico, I got zero sleep the entire trip L  We called I think five times about this, and kept getting told it was on order. People visited our room three times to look at it, and nothing was ever done.  We had to resort to hanging a bedsheet in our window to get some privacy.  Super un-impressed with this, and I will be letting them know when I fill out their review.  That was completely unacceptable in the honeymoon suite.  Points were only dropped because of this, we were very displeased with this.

Now, GETTING the Presidential Suite was an entirely different story. My husband always like to upgrade rooms, I don’t know why..It’s his thing. We had decided long ago that with all of the extras we wanted for the wedding, and the fact that we wanted the nicer suite, the Presidential Package was for us – but the package description says “based on availability”.  I had started asking Araceli back in March about booking the suite/pres package but that we wanted to be sure we would get the suite (otherwise why would we spend so much more?).  She said at that time they can’t be sure until 6 months out.  So, again I asked her in June, again she told me they can’t confirm.  The TA also tried asking at this point and was told the same.  I asked again in October and was told that it would be no problem to book the Presidential package and suite for the duration of our stay but not sure which of the 3 rooms it would be, so we left it at that.  I had asked several times for them to send photos of the room, obviously we wanted to see it and get excited about the great room we were getting, but they never did.  Two weeks before the wedding Elizabeth told me that they make sure we have the suite for

BEACH 8/10

Everything that you’ve read about the beach is true: it is very rocky and going into the water there are tons of rocks at certain spots.  But, at the same time it is rustic and stunning and natural. I knew what it looked like, and it’s the nature of the area, I don’t really know how I can complain about it.  We had a blast walking out in the piers of rocks and making Inukshuks out of the rocks.  You’ll quickly learn that there are spots where it’s much easier to enter the water (IE less rocky spots).  I def. did not spend as much time in the ocean as I normally would, since the rock piers do extend our quite a ways, they slow down any in-coming waves so you can’t boogie board or anything like what you might do beach-front in Cancun.

The snorkeling out front is AWESOME!!   You get an hour each day for free of a snorkel & mask rental, we had a blast!  My hubby and I went out 4 times during our stay, and I saw more stuff than I’ve seen paying for snorkeling in Maui and Cancun!  Definitely very cool that you don’t even have to go anywhere or pay anything for some great snorkeling.

The beach lounging area has lots of cute little palapa huts and the bar behind the exclusive area makes the best Caesar’s ever!  We got volleyball games going almost everyday (our group is very athletic), which is really all I want on a beach, lots of good vball, our whole group had tons of fun.  Sidenote – if you dive in that sand, you’re going to get ripped up, it has lots of course shell bits, there were a lot of bloody knees in our crew after some competitive games lol.

So, no it’s not the greatest beach for splashing in the water, but it is beautiful (for wedding photos you couldn’t ask for something more breathtaking), we enjoyed it for what it is!

FOOD / RESTAURANTS 7.5/10

Typically  am pretty forgiving when it comes to food, I will say a lot of the time I was a bit underwhelmed by the food. It was kind of all over the place in terms of quality.  We ate breakfast everyday at the pool buffet, we figured out though that the lobby buffet had way more variety and almost better quality (go to the far side, close to the Maya Beach entrance, it’s the best).  We typically ate lunch at the beach palapa, which I will say has the best spicy guacamole and chicken wings around!

The ala carte’s were pretty good, but the whole group sort of agreed that the appetizers were always better than the meals.  I found it really annoying with the booking of ala carte’s as well. I’ve never been to a resort where you only got a certain number of ala cartes and it made booking larger groups very difficult.  And some restaurants you couldn’t get into, everyone wanted to go to the Japanese, and I think only 4 of our group of 43 ended up being able to get it.

They screwed up our resos a couple of times to and were not ready for us when we arrived (even though they say they will give your table away after 15 minutes) and we had to wait for half an hour.  Service was always very good though, which I appreciate.

BAR SERVICE

Always very good.  The beach servers took great care of us when we had volleyball games going and would bring huge trays of drinks for us.  We always tip very well and always got prompt service.

HOUSEKEEPING

Our room was always cleaned very well.  We left huge tips, as everyone was always partying in our room, we felt bad for the mess but made sure it was worth their while!

ENTERTAINMENT / THINGS TO DO 9/10

I can’t say too much about this, the only show we watched was the Super Bowl, which they played on the big screen in the theatre/entertainment area.  Having so many people around, we sort of made of own fun.  We saw some of the nightly shows training in the afternoons and they looked awesome, we just aren’t really the type to sit around and watch, we like to explore.

We went into Coco Bongo one night, which the Ent Staff arranged for our group of 25.  it was awesome!  Hubby and I have been twice before in Cancun, but really wanted to take everyone.  All were blown away by the show, and the Playa show is just as good as the Cancun!

LAZY RIVER

This is awesome, we went so many times I lost count!!   On days when it was crazy hot, we went over and over, it’s so refreshing and just a fun way to chill out.  It takes a while if you have a big group going, but it’s worth the wait.  We would usually hop out and go to the beach to refill on drinks and then go again. Our group of local friends always go out to the river to float in the summer, so this was especially appreciated in our crew of seasoned “floaters”.

TULUM RUINS

A group of about 20 of us went into Tulum to explore the ruins one day.  One really great thing about being so far into the Mayan is it takes no time to get to all the excursion places.  The cost for a cab was $320 pesos and the bellhops happily arranged these for us.  Tulum is great, I think is was $57 pesos to walk through (we opted to just explore and not pay for a guide).  The beach there is amazing, if you go be sure to walk down the stairs and check it out, it’s gorgeous!  There is lots of shopping there as well, if you don’t make it into Playa, there is lots that you could get right at Tulum.

PLAYA DEL CARMEN

Our second day, eight of us got a large van into playa (I think it was something like $1200 pesos), it’s about a 25 minute cab ride – depending on your cab, our guys was doing about 125km/hr the whole time so we were hauling!  Playa is super cute and the beach is fantastic, the sand is like powder!  We found a great little taco place right on the beacj and had fresh guac and Corona’s, it was lovely.  The shopping in Playa is sort of what you would be used to if you’ve been in the Cancun area, lots of little local shops where you can get “Mexican” stuff, and then a strip mall area with the upscale shops.

PART 3: WEDDING 9.5/10

Our day over all was nothing short of magical.  I’ll try to go through step by step, I know this is what everyone was to know about!

SPA (HAIR) 9/10

I opted to do a hair trial the day before the wedding because I have so much hair, I didn’t want to shock the poor girl on the day of with this mass of hair.  My wedding updo was included with the package, and my trial cost $1072 pesos (well spent)!  It took 2 hours for my updo, which I was absolutely thrilled with when it was done!  I had 3D views for her, and she pulled it off amazingly. I confirmed that I would have the same girl the next day.  The wedding day appointments were a little strange.. They had 3 stylists, and booked 3 of my maids at 9:30, and then myself at 10.  So, obviously my stylist was not done with my bridesmaids’ hair in half and hour, by the time she even started me it was 11:00!!  This got me really stressed out right at the start of the day, so I super wasn’t happy about that. I was supposed to meet my photographer in our suite at 11:45 to give her all of my details to shoot, so my crew had to leave me in the salon and go meet her.  Sitting there by myself wasn’t exactly what I had in mind. My hair ended up taking an hour and 40 minutes the second time around (in the meantime my mom and my last bridesmaid had their hair started at 12:30). All in all, the styles they did on everyone were wonderful (the only one that was sort of weird was my husband’s sister’s hair, she was pretty disappointed). Aside from that we were all very pleased.  If anyone can request, the girl that did my hair was Isis, and she was lovely. The style she did on my other BM’s hair was fantastic as well!  As I was leaving the spa, I ran into Elizabeth, who was delivering the other bride’s (who was also getting her hair done in the salon) bouquets, so I hitched a ride with her back to our room.  She made sure to point out to me the size of my bouquet compared to the other bride (who did not have the pres. Package) – it was significantly smaller!  On the ride back, I asked about the wedding site, which we had all thought was right by the snorkeling and had been spying on all week.  She let me know that, again that was for the lesser packages, and our location was very private, which is why we could never find it!  So, up until the ceremony, the location was a complete surprise, which was actually pretty neat.
Following the Spa, we proceeded to our room to finish make-up and get dressed.  I opted out of the free make-up in my package as one of my girlfriends is a crazy good Make-up artist, so that was her gift to me. They allowed me to give my make-up to the other bride that was getting ready in the salon.

PICK-UP 6/10

This was the only other thing on my wedding day that really stressed me out.  Our ceremony was at 3:30, when we met with Elizabeth, she let us know to tell all of our guests to be at the lobby bar at 2:45 to be shuttled to the site, and that my maids and I would be picked up very last at 3:20 to be shuttled down.  3:30 rolls around and we still were not picked up.  We were literally standing there ready to go and they were not coming.  I was really good about putting aside my “photographer” self and just being a bride for the day, but at this time is when I was really stressing. I knew that every minute they were late was another minute we lost for photos before sunset.  It ended up being 3:50 before they showed up…Not impressed.  Apparently the issue we found out was the shuttling of our large number of guests down to the site – which doesn’t really make sense to me, they knew our numbers the whole time.  If they needed more, they should have told us 2:30.  Anyway, I don’t need to go on about the obvious reason’s that was crappy.  BUT – I will throw in that this is another reason to make sure you have a Trash/Rock the dress session with your photographer.  We were way less stressed about the time we had left for formals because we knew we would have another chance to get more photos of Ben and I.

SPECIAL REQUESTS/WEDDING COORDINATOR  10/10

Our wedding coordinator was Elizabeth, originally I had been working with Araceli, but I think it was about November when I was given to Elizabeth.

When we met with Elizabeth on Monday, we brought all of our decorations with us (which I think overwhelmed her at first).  We had a big box of the fans, two boxes of Mason Jars, and a large Rubbermaid of misc items.  We went through my vision for all of the items I had, and lots of it I just said “whatever you think”, we had lots of candles and lights so I wasn’t quite sure how they would go together. I did have everything collected together in little piles with notes on what to do with them (IE the programs, the mad libs, the place cards, etc). Originally we had planned to purchase extra florals for our Mason Jar Centerpieces, but after we found out we got to re-use our ceremony hanging and centerpiece flowers, we changed it.  So, the Bridesmaid’s bouquets were used as the flowers at the guests tables (we had four tables so it worked great).  The headtable had the two hanging arrangements attached to the front, and the centerpiece in the middle of it.  We paid extra to have the lanterns in the Palapa, I believe they were $12 each (the lantern and install). Seriously looked awesome, a good $100 if you ask me.   I had cute little straw flags for drinks, so we came up with a signature drink for cocktail hour. They looked adorable being handed out with the little flags in them!

All in all, they did something with all of my little decorations and it looked amazing. I’m so glad I did the PITA thing and brought all the little pieces, they are truly what brought our personalities to the day, I couldn’t be happier. I worked so hard on all of my little projects all year, and to see them put into action was awesome!

The Palapa was included for four hours (6:00 – 10:00), we ended up paying for an extra hour, to get it right until 11:00 (we knew the disco opened at 11 and didn’t want people stranded for an hour). We paid for an extra two hours of DJ, so we had him up until 11:00 as well.

With the Pres Package, we got a champagne toast, which we had our MC host right after the ceremony, then we did our full group shot and got the family photos our of the way.  The Mexican trio played for 45 min after the toast, and kept the guests entertained while we did our family photos.  At Elizabeth’s suggestion, we paid to open the bar an hour earlier (5:00) so the guests wouldn’t be hanging around with nothing to do or drink, we are very glad we did!

Elizabeth is an absolute doll and I cannot say enough about her.  She has great taste, and knows what she is doing.  Tell her what you are after and she is sure to have good input.  She was there to meet us at the ceremony, and was there right up until the palapa closed.

10+/10

FLOWERS 8/10

The flowers were absolutely stunning, I don’t even have another word.  My theme was basically “vintage beach”, and I wanted to have some elements of the dreamy vintage flowers that I would have done, had we had a wedding here. I requested all white for the BM’s bouquets (which we paid extra for), as their dresses were very bright on their own.

My bouquet was gorgeous, I did the same whites as the BM’s, but asked for a few coral roses, and some green hydrangeas.  It was nice and big, and very lush looking.  When we met with Elizabeth we confirmed that she would wrap mine with coral ribbon, it was lovely.  She also made me a mini version of my bouquet (at a little cheaper than the BM bouquets) for me to use as a tosser.

We did the same mix as my bouquet on the ceremony centerpiece and hanging arrangements (included in the pres. Package).  They were lovely, just the right amount of color pop, but not overwhelming.
We just went with the included boutenirre for Ben. The GM’s had coral colored pocket squares, so bouts were not necessary.

MUSIC 9/10

We gave Elizabeth a CD for the ceremony music, entrance song and first dances.  They did everything perfectly, the only hitch was that the DJ started to play the wrong song for our grand entrance, so we were yelling from the ramp outside the palapa for him to change the song.  Not a huge deal though.

We had made playlists for the entire dinner and dance portion, but after hearing what he was playing over dinner we didn’t even bother. He played an awesome mix of 70’s disco that was re-done in jazz style. It was perfect for dinner.

Because our speeches ran so long, we really only had a hour of open dancing at the reception, and the music he played was great!

PHOTO

As I said earlier, we brought our own photographer from home.  I sent an email to Photo Caribean a couple weeks earlier to let them know that we did not require their services, and they said no problem.   Elizabeth did ask if they could take some photos of the set-up for their website, but I assured her I would send some of our pro photos once I receive them. I’m darn proud of how our set-up looked so I’d love them to post them!

CLOTHES STEAMING / IRONING N/A

The resort did not offer steamers to rent, and the only other option was for them to send my dress into Playa for steaming – needless to say my dress was NOT leaving my procession!  Knowing this in advance I bought a steamer for $50 here before we left.  It didn’t work as well for my dress, and my mom and Aunt ended up spending an hour ironing every single fold of my dress the night before the wedding.  The steamer worked very well for the girls’ dresses though.  My BM’s dresses were quite wrinkled, so we were thankful to have it anyway!

TIMING OF THE DAY 10/10

The only hick-up as I said was the pick-up. The ceremony ran

CEREMONY 10/10

The ceremony was lovely and everything I could have asked for.  The set it up PERFECTLY, my mason jars down the isle, my programs and fans tucked into the chairs, and my reserved signs for our parents. It was so beautiful.  The only ‘upgrade’ we had made was to add the coral chair ribbons, which looked incredible.  The Tiffany chairs were included because we had the Presidential Package.

I confirmed via email before hand that they ceremony reading would be in English, and Elizabeth even sent me the transcript, which was great.   She had confirmed with us during the meeting whether or not the mention of God was appropriate in our ceremony (which I thought was nice).  Both of our parents are more religious, so we said it was fine.  I was surprised during the ceremony that the minister did a full scripture reading, but Ben told me later it was because he spoke to him before and mentioned that he was more religious, so the minister just threw in a reading. It was nice, and I know our parents appreciated it.  It was pretty short and sweet, about 15 minutes (that FLEW by!).

DINNER 6/10

The dinner itself was less than impressive.  You can see my schedule to get a better idea of times, but we had asked for dinner to start at 6:30. Our MC announced it, we had someone up to say grace, OBVIOUSLY we were ready for dinner. The bridal party went to the buffet to start dishing up, and they had not uncovered the hot plates yet…  We asked about it and were told that the chef was not done cooking the meat yet, and that we were to take the appetizers and salads first (this would have been fine, but would have been nice to know so we could at least make that announcement to our guests??).  By the time the “hot” food dishes were finally uncovered and we went to dish up, everything was cold!! Cold Mexico steak…gross
L  That was really unimpressive, so I’d give the dinner portion my worst review of the day.

Thankfully they kept the drinks flowing (we ended purchasing ten bottles of nice wine to be distributed, the resort house wine was pretty sucky).  They even gave us another champagne toast after dinner, which was great.

There wasn’t a stand or podium for speeches, so we just had everyone stand at the front when they were speaking.  Our guests speeches were so lovely, I get teary even thinking about it again!

DANCING

We did the 1st dance and parents dance after the cake cutting (oh, the cake – DELICIOUS! We got plain vanilla, and it was seriously the tastiest cake I’ve ever eaten, sad I couldn’t take it home!), and they were awesome.  Elizabeth gave all the guests bubbles, so everyone was blowing them at us while we danced, really cute!!  We brought all the music for the first dances from home, and that all went off without a hitch.  Our speeches ran REALLY long, so by them time we did dances, garter toss and bouquet toss, it was about 10:00.  We had an hour of fun dancing and then shipped everyone over to the disco, where the party continued!!  We had SO much fun, my husband’s sister brought a hula hoop on the plane and did some crazy shows for us at the disco, my brother was break dancing, and everyone was one the floor!  It was great, for a while it was like our own little club, and then the other bride from the day showed up so there was a massive party happening, we were really pleased!

My husband and I walked back to our room about 1:00, I won’t spoil the surprise, but the Presidential Suite was ready for us, you will be pleasantly surprised J

CONCLUSION

Obviously we were very impressed to say the least! Aside from the food, the event and the atmosphere were INCREDIBLE!  I’m so happy that all of my little crafts worked seamlessly into the day, and my wedding was more than I could have ever imagined.  Our guests are constantly telling us how amazing it was (and it really, really was!!).
Our ten day stay was very enjoyable, and really was the trip of a lifetime.  Marrying the man of my dreams, on an insanely beautiful beach, with everyone we love to share it with... Ah, how I wish I could do it all over :)

I feel so lucky to have found this forum. I'm getting married at the Grand Serenis and so many of the features I wanted in my own destination wedding you've incorporated into yours. I was debating my colors between purple and lime green and coral and lime green and it's incredible to see the coral as you used it in your beautiful wedding.

I feel like you've helped me plan out so many details I wasn't sure about and taken a lot of stress off of me so thank you so much for being so thorough in your reviews and so generous as to share so many pieces of your celebration with us.

I'm so very excited!
